The old photograph of a young Jung-kook and Taehyung laid on the table, and all of them were staring at it.

"Did my father give that to you?" Eun-hye asked.

"How I got it, is not important," Taehyung answered. "The question is, why am I in this picture with your father?"

"That's not you, Taehyung," Jimin fibbed. He understood that telling falsehoods was wrong, but the alternative was worse. If lying would save his family, he would do it in a heartbeat.

"If it's not me, then who is it?"

"Someone who looks like you," Jimin muttered, conjuring up lies as fast as he could.

"Really? I don't believe you."

Jimin became angry at the accusation, even though he realized he had no right to be. "How would you know when you don't remember everything about your childhood?"

"So now, it's my fault that I don't recall much of it."

"I'm not blaming you, but let's face it, your memory didn't come back, so how can you be certain that's you in the picture?" Jimin knew he was being harsh, but it became a necessity to maintain the status quo.

"Jimin. Don't twist things around. I am tired of people spoon-feeding me facts just because I'm disabled and can't remember. If I had remained blind, I bet you, everyone would be scared to even tell me the truth because they think I won't be able to handle it."

"Papa, we are all doing this for your own good," Eun-hye stated.

"Shouldn't I get to decide what's good for me?" Taehyung countered.

"Why are you so hung up on the picture? Are you perhaps in love with Jung-kook? Is that why you keep visiting him?" Jimin finally asked but was afraid to hear the answer.

"That's ridiculous!" Taehyung bellowed. "How can I be enamored with someone who faints at the sight of an invalid?"

"If that's the case, then you have no reason to continue your visits," Alex remarked.

Taehyung looked at the figures looming over where he sat and wondered if there would be a time when they would treat him as the man he was.
