Chase and I made it to the dinner just in time, even though we got mobbed a few times. From the hotel's gate to the walkway, there was a huge billboard behind us, as we posed for pictures. Chase put his arm around me and smiled for the cameras. I waved to the fans behind the gates, who were screaming in happiness that they were only a few feet away from us. More celebrities and directors were coming down the burgundy carpet that they set up, so Chase and I walked into the hotel. The dining room was filled with glass chandeliers, and the tables were set up to perfection. Across the room, I spotted Martin Scorsese chatting with Kate Beckinsale. Martin was a famous director, most recently known for directing The Wolf of Wall Street.
"Oh my god, Chase look!" I punched Chase in the arm, trying to get his attention. He didn't even flinch.
"Ava, c'mon, you've got to at least try this time." he teased.
"Seriously, look! It's actually him! Should we go talk to him?" I asked, the questions slipping out of my mouth. I went over to the table behind us and grabbed two champagne glasses. I handed one to Chase and raised an eyebrow at him, hinting that we should make some small talk with Martin.
"Fine, you win. Let's go." he chuckled, walking over to Martin. The dining room began to fill up with more people, which meant that the party was about to start.
"We better hurry-" I was cut off mid-sentence by Chase grabbing my arm, stopping me.
"You almost ran into someone, Ava. Your welcome, by the wa-" Now, he was cut off by Martin Scorsese. He was wearing a plain black suit and tie, with his thick glasses.
"I see you two are enjoying the champagne." he chuckled. I gave Chase a look of surprise, while he stayed completely calm.
"Yes, Mr. Scorsese, it is delicious." Chase stated, taking a sip.
"Please, give Mr. Whedon my best wishes for you three tomorrow. Where is he tonight?" Martin asked.
"Thank you, sir. And, Josh- Mr. Whedon, has a meeting tonight, so he couldn't make it." I said.
"Oh bummer, I was hoping to see my friend tonight, but business is business." he laughed. "Anyways, I had began scripting hopefully another box office hit, and I believe that you two have great chemistry. Would you like my agent to send you two the scripts tomorrow?"
"Oh my- yes that would be great!" I yelled, but not too loudly.
"Thank you, Mr. Scorsese for this opportunity." Chase smiled, but on the inside, he was probably screaming.
"I know that you two would be great for the roles," was the last thing he said to us, before he walked over to someone else.
"Can you believe it?" I said, full of happiness.
"Frankly, I can't. But won't you get tired of seeing me everyday?" he smirked.
"I'll just have to deal with it." I sighed and rolled my eyes.
"Hey! I'm pretty lovable."
"Whatever floats your boat." I said. Suddenly, one of the hosts picked up the microphone on the stage and cleared his throat. Everyone then took their assigned seats at the tables, and the night went on.
Luke's POV
Ashton and I drove over to Starbucks to pick up coffee for the others. We had been cooped up in the studio recording and writing the whole day, so we needed some daylight at one point or another. Ashton and I got the coffee and then got in the car, before papparazzi caught us. Ashton closed his door and then sighed.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's just I couldn't break the news to my mum. She's kind of upset that her son has to-"
"Ava's probably pissed," I muttered, interrupting him. There was a part of me that hoped he didn't hear.
"When was the last time you two talked?" he asked. I kept my head low, concentrating on a rip in my jeans. Ashton chuckled and said, "C'mon, you two can't even sleep without eachother!"
"Well, look at us now. She's in Canada, and I don't even know how we're going to do this." I put my head in my hands and sighed.
"It's okay, Luke. On the brightside, it's not going to be for that long. You'll see eachother soon."
"If she still loves me, after I pretty much didn't tell her about-" Before I could finish, my phone rang. I ran my hands through my pockets, but my phone wasn't there.
"Ashton, where is it?!" I yelled. If Ava was calling me, I had to talk to her. I needed to explain to her about all of this.
"I don't know, man. Wait, check the backseats." Ashton said. The both of us climbed out of the car, the phone still going off. We searched the backseats, and soon I found it. Just as I was about to pick up, screams were suddenly heard. A huge group of girls started to huddle behind Ashton, and soon they spotted me.
"Luke, can we have a picture?"
"I love you guys so much!" The girls screamed, and most of them pulled out their phones, recording the moment where they caught Luke Hemmings and Ashton Irwin out and about. I stuffed the phone back in my pocket, not even checking to see who had called me, because I was certain that Ava and I were over.
A/N: Hey guys! So, I just want to apologize for my writing because I suck at giving clues about what's going to happen next, so I'm just going to think of a logical reason to cut off the character's sentence, so I don't spoil it. But yea, sorry. A few things to clear up:
1. Ava and Chase's director's original name that I came up with was Josh. However, in real life there is an actual director named Joss Whedon who created Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Agents of S.H.I.E.LD. So, I just switched his name to Josh to make it seem realistic. Yeah, sorry if that was confusing.
2. Ava and Chase are just friends, there is nothing romantic going on between them. They like eachother as friends. And Chase has his model girlfriend to keep him busy so that's that.
