I wake up by the sun shining through the windows. As I look around the room I remember that I'm not at home. I'm in Alex's room.

With his arms around me.

His breathing is slow behind me. I assume he's still asleep.

I turn around so that I'm facing him and study his face. His long dark eyelashes almost touch his cheeks and his mouth is slightly open.

I think about everything he told me yesterday, how broken he'd seemed. I wonder if he's told anyone else about this. Max obviously knows but what about Alex's other friends?

I can't believe the pain that he's been through.

I try to twist out of his arms without waking him up. He shifts a little in his sleep when I stand up but he doesn't wake up.

I open his bedroom door and look around the corridor. Thankfully no one's there so I make my way towards the bathroom in peace. Just as I'm about to reach for the door handle the door opens and almost knocks me over.

Jonathan stares at me, blinking rapidly as if my presence doesn't make any sense.

"Didn't think you would still be here," he says.

He scans me up and down and I feel my cheeks heat up. Only now do I realize that I'm wearing Alex's clothes.

"Um yeah, Alex asked me to stay over," I reply and he nods in understandment.

"Is he okay?" he asks, concerned. His blue eyes look pretty much just like Alex's, except for the fact that they're not as heavy as his.

"Yeah, he's okay," I confirm. An awkward silence fills the corridor. I tug at my shirt and look around the room.

"So... you slept over." Jonathan finally asks.

"Uh..," I begin, but before I have time to finish my sentence I hear Alex clear his throat behind me.

"Jonathan, what about minding your own damn business?" he asks with an annoyed tone.

I turn around and see him leaning against his bedroom door, his eyes locked on Jonathan. I notice that he's now shirtless and suddenly the room starts getting hotter.

Alex's eyes move from Jonathan's to mine and his expression immediately softens. A small smile forms on his lips and I feel the same thing happening to me.

Jonathan's gaze goes from Alex to me and then back again.

"Wait, are you guys together?" Jonathan asks.

I widen my eyes at his question and feel myself blushing yet again. Alex's smile fades away and he looks back at Jonathan.

"What don't you understand with minding your own fucking business?" Alex says angrily.

Jonathan gives him a glare and walks away, leaving the two of us just standing there.

"Sorry about him, he doesn't get the word privacy," Alex apologizes.

"It's okay, I would be curious too," I answer. I try to keep my eyes on his face but his bare chest is kind of distracting.

"Are you avoiding my body? There's no need to do that," he smirks.

I bite my lip, trying not to seem bothered by what he just said. "You're impossible," I mutter and walk into the bathroom, closing the door behind me. I make sure to lock it.

Why does he say stuff like that?

I look at myself in the mirror. My hair is a complete mess as usual and I pretty much look like a ghost. Why can't I just look like the people in the movies when I wake up? Life would be so much easier.
