Our hands are intertwined as we walk back to Liam's house. I find myself leaning into him and his warmth. I can't stop myself from smiling. My stomach feels like it's filled with butterflies.

Most of the guests are already starting to leave the party but a few are still inside.

"Let's find Max so we can get the fuck out of here," Alex says.

I chuckle. We make our way to the kitchen which is filled with empty cups. One part of the floor is covered in what I assume is liquor. I feel bad for Liam who's going to be the one who has to clean up everything. Hopefully someone will help him.

Next to the kitchen table Max is feeding Georgi with some candy. She's watching him with dreamy eyes while smiling brightly. Max's Joker-makeup is smeared out all over his face. I shake my head at the sight and hear Alex snort beside me.

He clears his throat and gets the attention of the couple in front of us. Georgi raises her eyebrows and her jaw practically drops to the floor when she sees us together.

"Holy fuck!" Max exclaims with a grin, "I knew you would come to your senses!"

"Where are your keys?" Alex asks, completely ignoring Max's comment. Georgi's widened eyes are flickering between Alex and I.

"You're not gonna fuck in my car!" Max protests. I feel my cheeks heating up.

"Just give me the damn keys." Alex walks up to Max and raises his hand in front of him, the palm facing upwards. Max hands him the keys, looking uncertain.

"But how are we gonna get home?" he questions and points to Georgi. She raises her eyebrow at Alex.

"Not my problem," he mutters before dragging me away with him.

Alex parks the car outside of my house. The lights are still on in the café and I can see my dad cleaning one of the tables. I have no idea how he's going to react to this situation. It's probably going to seem suspicious for me to bring home a boy again.

"Before we go in, please try to act like a civilised human being," I say, giving Alex a meaningful look.

He smirks, "I can try, but don't expect anything."

I roll my eyes and open the door. My dad's gaze immediately snaps to us. He drops the cloth he's holding and lifts his eyebrows.

"Dad. This is Alex," I say, nodding to my left.

Dad takes a few steps until he's standing in front of us.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Miller," Alex says, raising his hand for my dad to shake.

"You too, I suppose." Dad shakes Alex's hand, scanning him up and down, "Do you always dress like that?"

I mentally facepalm. It's literally Halloween.

"Yeah, everyday actually. It's a new style of mine," Alex answers. Dad stares at him, as if not realising it was a joke.

"He's kidding," I laugh and elbow him in the side.

"Okay... " Dad trails off. I know that he has close to zero experience of boyfriends. He never even got to meet my last one, which I guess isn't that weird considering I was only ten years old back then...

"Yeah so, we're gonna go now," I state. I take Alex's hand again and drag him towards the stairs.

"Your door stays open!" Dad shouts behind us.

"We'll see about that," Alex mumbles.

I can't help but laugh.

I lie down on my towel and watch the sea in front of me. The waves make a pleasant sound as they crash against the shore and the afternoon sun warms my skin.

Georgi puts her hands in front of her gaping mouth. "That is so romantic!" she squeals. "Can you believe this? Thanks to me you two are finally together!" She takes out her sunscreen and begins rubbing some of it on her skin.

Traci narrows her eyes at her. "You also made Lacey play spin the bottle while you were drunk."

"Yeah, and see what that lead to!" Georgi smirks and closes the sunscreen lid with a click.

I shake my head and lean back on my towel. "Guys, stop arguing. Everything turned out well."

"But still," Traci says, "Are you sure this is the right decision? Giving him another chance?"

I nod. "I'm sure. I want to be with him."

"And you should. Ignore Traci," Georgi chimes in and lies down too. Traci gives her a glare.

"Traci has a good point," Kimberly says, looking at me with meaningful eyes, "But if you're happy, then I'm happy."

"Thanks Kimberly," I smile.

Georgi takes out her sunglasses from her bag and puts them on. "Dibs for being the bridesmaid at your wedding."

"Stop it!" I laugh, hitting her playfully on her shoulder.

"What? I'm just saying," she grins.

"What does your dad think about Alex?" Kimberly asks. She rests her chin in her hand.

I grimace. "I don't know. He didn't seem too crazy about him. But I'm pretty sure Alex is going to grow on him."

"Yeah, Alex's first impression isn't the best," Traci says.

"He can come across as a bit moody," Georgi adds.

"A bit?" Traci asks.

"Will you two stop insulting him?" I interrupt.

"Aww, you're defending him," Georgi smiles and they all laugh.

"I'm not," I mutter and close my eyes, but I can't stop myself from smiling.

"Somebody's in looove," Georgi teases, dragging out on the last word.

"Like you're not," I shoot back.

She puts her hands up in defeat. "Never said I wasn't."
