Liam starts to search for the keys in Dylan's pocket.

Why was Dylan alone at the lake? And why was Nolan there? This doesn't make any sense and it's not like I can ask Dylan in his drunken stage. Well actually I could but I wouldn't get an answer.

God this is fucked up.

Dylan has some deep cuts in his face by all the beating and also on his legs, surely because he fell during the fight. Liam can be the one to play doctor. I'm not in the mood for it. These guys literally ruined my evening with Lacey which makes me pissed.

Lacey seemed kind of uncomfortable and I feel awful for asking her to be a uber driver. She probably thinks that I'm the biggest idiot ever, which I by the way am but that's besides the point.

"I can't find the keys, he must have lost them during the fight," Liam sighs and puts Dylan to lean against the blue door.

He better be fucking kidding me. This can't be happening.

"So what are we gonna do?" I question, tired on this whole situation. Liam narrows his eyes and starts to analyze the house. I stand there for a minute with my arms crossed until comprehension washes over me. "Wait, you want us to break in?"

"Well it's not like we're breaking in, I mean it's Dylan's house after all," Liam states and puts his hands in his pockets. I lift my eyebrows up and wait for an explanation on how exactly we're gonna commit this crime. "There must be an open window somewhere."

"Can't we just call Mary?" I suggest, feeling hopeless, but I already know the answer. Mary is Dylan's older sister who works at the tattoo shop.

"You know she would kill us if we disturb her with this kind of stuff," Liam says and gives me a glare. Liam begins to walk around the house and I stay with Dylan.

Dylan has been crying, I can still see the fresh marks from dried tears. Dylan drools and snores as he sleeps, a beautiful view I have here. Not.

"You find anything?" I shout to Liam, not wanting to waste anymore time babysitting and staring at Dylan's face.

Liam slowly approaches us, looking tired.

"No," he announces and lifts Dylan up from the ground. Dylan groans but doesn't fight back.

"So what then? We leave him here?" I wonder and would gladly fulfill my suggestion. Liam looks at me as if I were crazy. He does that a lot.

"Hell no, we move to plan B," he states and swings Dylan's arm over his shoulder.

"Plan B? You've liked figured out on your freetime what to do in a moment like this?"

"Someone has to do it," Liam shrugs and starts to lead Dylan towards the driveway.

"Where are you going?" I yell and begin to follow them with rushed steps. Liam struggles to keep Dylan up on his feet.

"I'm taking him home with me," he glances at me with an annoyed look and keeps walking.

"You're gonna walk the entire way?"

"Of course not! God Alex use your brain!" Liam shouts frustrated and takes a deep breath before continuing. "I'm gonna call a cab and perhaps you should too."

I nod and pick up my phone. The battery is almost out but it should be enough to make one last call.

The cabs arrive fast and before I know, I'm home again after this weird ass day.

I awake by our doorbell ringing on Sunday morning. I frown and shift in my bed.

"Jonathan!" I yell towards my pillow.

"I'm on my way!" he screams back and I hear footsteps running downstairs. I close my eyes and try to fall back asleep. I'm the kind of guy that usually doesn't have trouble with it.

Minutes pass before I suddenly hear my door fly wide open.

"Shit Jonathan don't you understand that people need to sleep!" I roar and turn to face him.

"Not Jonathan, just me," Max announces and steps forward into my room. I try to focus with my sleepy eyes.

"What's up?" I greet and sit up in my bed.

"Nothing special."

"Huh." I begin to lean against the white wall. The room is filled with silence.

"Look, I'm sorry for the other day, you know when I said..." Max apologizes but I cut him off.

"Don't," I say and lift my right hand up to gesture that he needs to stop talking. "It's fine."

"You sure?"

"Yeah," I assure him. "I just don't wanna think about it, okay?" I look at Max with a serious expression. Max slowly nods and sits down next to me on the bed. I sigh.

Trying to get rid of the tension in the room, I ask, "You getting close with Georgi?". Max's face lights up with a dreamy smile.

"Yeah, she's the best," he states and stares up at the ceiling with big puppy eyes.

"That good?" I question and look over at him. That girl got to be special to get that big of a smirk from my best friend. He nods and glances back at me.

"What spell did she use on you? I mean look at you!" I motion my hand at him and try to sound panicked.

Max laughs out loud and shakes his head. "You're also gonna find true love one day and then you'll understand."

"We will see about that."

"Trust me dude, you just fall and can't do anything about it."

"Shit you have become one of those..." I trail off, watching him.

"One of those, what?" He wonders curiously.

"Love sick puppies," I say through my teeth and grin at Max. He rolls his eyes.

"Your time will come buddy," Max utters and pats me on the shoulder. "You will see."
