I drag the brush through my hair a few times before throwing it on my bed. I turn towards my mirror to quickly scan my outfit.
Ripped jeans, black crop top. That'll have to do.
"Lacey are you done yet?" Georgi asks, her voice growing impatient.
"I'm done," I say.
"Finally." She begins walking out of the apartment with me following swiftly behind. "I can't believe it took you so long to get ready. I've been talking about how I'm looking forward to this party all week."
"I fell asleep, okay? It's been a long week, but I'm excited too." It's finally Friday, and a well needed one for me.
Georgi snorts. We hurry into my car and I start the engineer. Georgi pulls out a small mirror from her handbag and checks her makeup.
"Did you ask Traci and Kimberly if they wanted to come with us?" Georgi questions, not tearing her eyes off of the mirror.
"Yeah I did. Traci said they were gonna have a movie night or something."
Georgi smiles. "I'm glad that they're friends again."
"Me too."
When I finally spot the familiar house I pull up on its driveway. Georgi gets a huge grin on her face.
"What are you smiling at?" I ask.
"I'm gonna see Max, duh."
I laugh.
We walk up to the front door. Georgi's pony tale swings to the side when she comes to an abrupt stop and rings the doorbell. After a few seconds it's opened by none other than Max himself.
As soon as he sees Georgi he cups her head in his hands and gives her a kiss. I roll my eyes but can't help smiling.
We go inside the house and my eyes immediately search for Alex. I spot him leaning against a wall a few feet away from us. When our eyes meet he straightens his posture and makes his way towards us.
My mouth forms into a smile as Alex gives me a quick kiss on the cheek. His eyes travel up and down my body and he smirks.
"Hot as always," he says, making me flush.
Georgi winks at me and all four of us make our way to the living room. Max's house is pretty similar to Alex's except for the fact that they have different decorations.
"Where are the rest of the people?" Georgi asks, sitting down on one of the couches like she lives here. This is supposed to be a small 'get-together' between our friends.
"Probably late. It wouldn't be the first time," Max replies casually. He starts mixing two different kinds of liquids in some red cups. He then proceeds to hand us one cup each.
"Are you ever gonna tear your eyes away from her?" Max asks, casting a glance in Alex's direction. I turn to him and notice that his eyes are fixed on me.
Before he has time to answer the doorbell rings. Max leaves us to go and open the door. Georgi smirks at Alex but he doesn't react.
"You brought her!?" Max exclaims from the hall. He comes back to the living room followed by Dylan and none other than Rachel. She smiles at us and waves happily.
"What the fuck is Rachel doing here?" Alex frowns.
"I can hear you, you silly boy. Oh, do you have something to drink?" she makes her way to the table with the red cups and grabs one. "And for your record, Dylan picked me out of all girls to come with him tonight. He's so nice, isn't he?"
