I watch the road in front of me as I just drive, not going anywhere in particular. Alex sits in the passenger seat beside me and stares out of the window, sparing me a glance now and then. In the corner of my eye I notice that he has a bored look on his face, which I guess is a pretty normal thing for him.
I'm still not sure what to think about this whole situation. Does he believe me now or is he still in doubt?
"Any ideas of where we should go?" I ask him after a few minutes of silence.
"My bedroom is always a good choice, if you know what I mean," he winks at me.
I roll my eyes at his comment and laugh. "Very funny, for real though."
"Yeah, for real," he smirks.
Maybe he's not that suspicious then.
"Fine I guess I'll just have to choose then," I comment, a small smile playing on my lips.
"Isn't my bedroom good enough?" he jokes.
I shrug, "I've seen better."
"Like Liam's?" His smirk is gone and he's back to being serious.
I avoid his gaze. "I wouldn't know, considering I've never been there, not that it would matter because nothing happened between us."
"What urgent matter did you talk about after the dance that made you forget to inform me you left?" he questions.
I sigh inwardly. "It's not my thing to tell. I promised not to tell anyone about our talk," I answer, hoping that he'll just let it go.
Thankfully Alex doesn't press me for any more information. He simply nods.
We arrive at the amusement park after another few minutes of silence. Alex doesn't seem too thrilled about my choice of destination but he's not complaining either.
We step out of the car and buy a ticket each. There's not that many people here at this time of the day, mostly just small kids with their parents.
"You never paid me back," he suddenly announces as we're walking. I stop in my tracks to face him.
"For what?" I ask in surprise. Is he talking about the waverunners? Because I don't know if I could afford that right now.
"For the beer pong game where Max and I beat your asses," he answers.
I completely forgot about that.
"Oh, yeah," I grimace. "Uh, Georgi was supposed to take care of that."
I don't know why she hasn't yet. Maybe she just got to caught up with being in love with Max...
"I'm just fucking with you. You don't need to pay for sucking at beer pong."
I raise my eyebrow at him. I'm both relieved and annoyed at his comment.
"Oh please, I do not suck. We almost beat you."
We weren't even close, but whatever.
Alex chuckles and we continue walking. As I look around I notice a booth with water guns lined up next to each other. A few kids are shooting against moving targets while their parents cheer for them.
"I bet I could beat you at water guns," I state confidently, giving Alex a smile.
"We'll see about that," he challenges.
We make our way towards the booth. The prizes are a variety of stuffed animals, everything from small fishes to huge polar bears. We wait for the kids that are currently playing to finish, before taking seats behind the water guns. A few other kids join our round and their parents give us annoyed looks.
