Rachel's party is filled with people that I've never seen in my life. Most of them seem to be older than me but I do notice a few groups of younger teens.

Traci, Georgi, Kimberly and I are just standing at the door not knowing where to go. Kimberly decided that she wanted to come with us this time. I'm not sure why, maybe she just feels safer now that Georgi and I know about her secret.

"Oh no let's go this way." Traci nods to the left. "Rachel is about to come over."

I turn to my right and see Rachel walking our way.

"Why did you even want to come here if you don't want to see her?" I ask furrowing my eyebrows.

"Because I want to party," Traci says like it should be obvious. We walk towards the direction that she motioned to. "Besides, I think I can avoid her for one night,"

"I don't know," Georgi shrugs "It's Rachel that we're talking about after all."

Traci and I both laugh at her comment.

"Maybe we shouldn't insult her at her own party?" Kimberly suggests.

"I don't think she cares about what we think," I say.

"Yeah she probably doesn't," Georgi agrees.

Rachel's house is very big, just like Traci's. I'm pretty sure that I'll have some trouble finding my way in here.

"Ooh I see some beer, do you guys want some?" Traci asks as she speeds up. All of us say yes and she hands us a beer each.

"Okay let's party!" Georgi exclaims and we toast.

A few hours later we've all had a few drinks. Some of us more than others.

"Look at that plant! Isn't beautiful?" Georgi giggles and points to a red flower. Yup, she's pretty wasted.

I made a promise to myself before we arrived here that I would not drink as much as I did the last time I went to a party. We all know how that went...

Kimberly shakes her head at Georgi's stupidity and Traci just laughs.

"Georgi where's Max?" I ask.

"Oh." She stops to think. "He should be here somewhere," she says scanning the crowd.

"Don't get her started," Traci tells me with a serious look.

"I'll go look for him," Georgi decides and strolls off.

"Maybe I should follow her?" Kimberly suggests and stands up. Traci and I nod our heads in agreement.

When Kimberly also disappears Traci turns to me.

"Didn't Kimberly say that she doesn't like to party? How come she's here now" she asks.

"Um, did she really say that?"

Smooth. Really smooth Lacey.

"Yeah she did. It's one of her poor excuses." Traci says with a hint of irritation in her voice.

"Why don't you just ask her yourself? I don't want to get in the middle of this."

Little did I know I'd soon have to eat my words.

"You already covered up for her once," she pressures me. "Oh look here she comes."

I have a feeling this won't be pretty.

"What were you guys talking about?" Kimberly asks with a concerned look. She must've seen our faces.

"Nothing-"
