Malfoy looked like he drank sour milk the next morning when he saw the three Gryffindors he hoped to get expelled. Mikayla, Ron and Harry decided their encounter with the three-headed dog was a great adventure, that they could laugh at their reactions. Mikayla found out the boys also didn't get much sleep because they've been trying to figure out what the dog was guarding. "Well it's either really valuable or extremely dangerous." Mikayla concluded, Harry offers the option that it could be both. They were sure by now that it was the little package Hagrid took out of the Gringotts vault, meaning it's about 2 inches long. Hermione didn't seem all that interested in what was under that trapdoor and has now refused to talk to the other three. Ron and Harry saw this as an extra bonus but Mikayla thought it would've been nice to have another girl to even up the odds in the friendship group. She was too blinded by her hatred of Malfoy to think clearly, the three Gryffindors were plotting ways to get him back. Luckily to their delight, such a thing arrived the very next week.

As the Hall flooded with owls as usual, everyone's attention was caught by a package carried by six screech owls. The parcel dropped in front of Harry, Mikayla and Ron, a letter dropped onto of the package. "Read the letter first." Mikayla told Harry, he did as told and good thing he did. He handed the letter to Ron, who showed Mikayla. The letter said:

'DO NOT OPEN THE PARCEL AT THE TABLE. It contains your new Nimbus Two Thousand, but I don't want everybody knowing you've got a broomstick or they'll all want one. Oliver Wood will meet you tonight on the Quidditch Pitch at 7 o'clock for your first training session. Prof. M. McGonagall'

The three of them rush out of the hall to go to the Gryffindor common room to tear open the new broom. Halfway across the Entrance Hall they found the way upstairs blocked by Crabbe and Goyle. Malfoy snatched the package from Harry's hand. Mikayla stepped forward but Ron seized her shoulder holding her back. "He's not worth it." he whispers to Mikayla. "That's a broomstick. You'll be for it this time, Potter, first-years aren't allowed them." The boys start arguing before Professor Flitwick arrived, "Not arguing, I hope, boys and O'Brien." he squeaked looking up at all the faces. "Potter's been sent a broomstick, Professor." Malfoy spits out before plastering a smile on his face. "yes, yes, that's right. Professor McGonagall told me all about the special circumstances, Potter. And what model is it?" Flitwick's response stunned Draco and his jaw nearly hit the floor. "A Nimbus Two Thousand, sir." said Harry, fighting not to laugh at the look of horror on Malfoy's face, "And it's really thanks to Malfoy here that I've got it." he added. By the look on Malfoy's you'd swear Harry just insulted his mother. Harry, Ron and Mikayla smothered their laughter until they were out of Malfoy's ear-shot their laughter echoed through the Hall.

The day was uneventful compared to the morning. Mikayla's dessert was interrupted by her sister wanting to talk, Mikayla told the boys not to wait for her to go back to the common room. "It's still early if you want to walk around outside." Avery suggest, Mikayla agrees waving goodbye to her fellow Gryffindors, whispers follow the sisters on the way out of the Great Hall. "What do you want to talk about?" Mikayla asks Avery rather coldly, "The fight." Avery gives a short response, "What about it?" Mikayla keeps her voice cold, "It was stupid. I was just trying to show off in front of Draco, I thought that if I seemed tough to you that you'd back down." Avery begins, Mikayla's expression didn't hinder what-so-ever. "You thought I'd let you walk all over me? Why?" This was a question Mikayla has been asking herself a lot, why did everyone think that she wouldn't be able to take on her sister. "Come on!" Avery laughs as though it was obvious, before looking at Mikayla's straight face. "Kay, you're a bookworm who had no friends until Hogwarts, you're nice to everyone even the house-elf and you don't really have a scary exterior." Avery explained her comment, Mikayla rolled her eyes at her sister. "You don't know me at all do you? You're my twin sister and you know nothing about me." Mikayla was hurt about how Avery described her. "Yes, I'm a bookworm, and had only you as a friend until Hogwarts. I taught my owl Greek so she wouldn't be confused, I stick up for my friends when I'm needed because I don't care about what ruins through my veins." Mikayla anger begins to rise, " I didn't want to be the one to tell you this but your blood status is not a personality sis. You can't treat people the way that you do and think that they'll bend over backwards when you insult them." She was almost shouting "Your friends are vial human beings and I'm starting to believe that you're turning into one of them. So, now you need to decide what is more important to you, me or Slytherin because your choice will decide what will happen for the next seven years." Mikayla stops her rant, she looks at her sister, her eyes glossed from the tears that are wanting to spill to rid her of her frustration towards Avery. "I-I..." Avery tries to talk but no words would come out, Mikayla turned and stormed away leaving her sister shocked near Professor Sprouts Greenhouses.

Mikayla continues storming on the way up to Gryffindor Tower, she met Harry on his way to Quidditch Practice, he stopped to see if she's ok but she admitted she wasn't ok but told Harry that he should get to practice. Instead of going to the tower where she knew loads of people would be questioning her, she went to the girls bathroom on the second floor girls where she knew she wouldn't be bothered. No one goes in there because of a ghost known as Moaning Myrtle roams there. Mikayla stared at herself in the mirror, her cheeks now tear-stained. Her eyes were red and puffy, her cheeks ached and her throat burned with fury. She ran to the furthest cubicle from the door, closed down the toilet seat and sat on the toilet, crying.

Mikayla didn't return to Gryffindor Tower until 9, she had calmed down and made herself more presentable before leaving the bathroom. "Pig snout." Mikayla spoke her voice almost gone from all her crying. The Fat Lady swung open revealing only the Weasleys except Percy, Harry and Hermione in the common room. All their heads turn towards the door and stuck on Mikayla. She plastered a fake smile on her face that everyone saw right through. Hermione was the first to speak, "Thank goodness you're alright. We were starting to get worried." She ushered Mikayla to one of the arm chairs. "I'm sorry." Mikayla voice is very shaky, "Last thing you guys need is worrying about me." Her eyes flickered to each of their faces. "What happened with your sister?" Ron asked causing the others to glare at him, Mikayla smiled stiffly at Ron, he never could help himself asking questions. "Take a seat." Mikayla instructed, once all were seated she told them all about the conversation with her sister. "So, she was acting tough in front of Malfoy and expected you to crumble at her feet?" George questioned, Mikayla just nodded in response, "Boy was she mistaken considering you kicked her tushie." Fred's comment made Mikayla laugh, over the next hour the twins reenacted the fight giving a comedic tone to it. "Your blood status is not a personality sis." Fred spoke sassily whilst George faked being shot. They all laughed, Harry told everyone how his first training session was before the girls decided to call it a night. "Thank you guys for cheering me up." Mikayla looked around the room at the sleepy faces before her and Hermione walked up to the girls dormitories.
