The Shrieking Shack

"Ron, is your leg ok?" Mikayla asked once they were forced by Sirius Black into a room, in the building know as the Shrieking Shack. Ron shakes his head whining lightly, "Tell me if this hurts ok?" He nodded, Mikayla poked his thigh, and got not response, poked his knee and nothing, when she poked his shin he yelled out in pain. "It's broken, I can't do any spell to help, I've only done small bones. I'm sorry." Ron nodded understandingly, "Just like your mother I see." Black's voice filled Mikayla's ears. "You'll end up a healer, just like she is." Mikayla stood up protectively in front of Ron, "I'd be lucky to be half the woman she was!" She spat at him, "was?" The sudden realisation that Black obviously being in Azkaban didn't know about Enya's death, "Yeah, she died last June." Black's sunken expression saddened. They hear people running up stair, Black hides behind the door, as Harry and Hermione rushes in. Ron tried to warn them but it was too late, Ron tried to stand up, "If you want to kill Harry, you'll have to kill us first." He spoke courageously, standing with Mikayla and Hermione in front of Harry. "No. Only one will die tonight." Sirius' spookily informs whilst walking towards them slightly, "Then it'll be you!" Harry runs at Black, grabbing him by the neck and pinning him to the ground. When Harry pulls out his wand Black starts to laugh, "Are you going to kill me, Harry?" Black continued to laugh lightly before Lupin barges into the room, casting Harry's wand out of grasp. Harry quickly rejoined his friends, Ron dit's back down on the bed because of the Professor's presence. "Well well, Sirius looking rather raggy aren't we?" Lupin states in the form of a rhetorical question. "Finally the flesh reflects the madness within." Lupin walked closer to Black, "Well, you would know all about the madness within, wouldn't you Remus." Black snarks back at the Professor, Lupin helps Sirius off the ground causing everyone's face to dropped, just like their hearts did when they saw the both of them hug.

"NO! We trusted you and all this time you've been his friend." Hermione yells at Professor Lupin, "He's a werewolf! That's why he's been missing classes." Mikayla informs her friends, they all looked stunned apart from Hermione, Lupin began walking towards the girl's, "How long have you known?" "Since Professor Snape set the essay." They spoke in sync, causing a smile on Lupin's face, "Well well ladies, you really are the brightest witches of your age, I've ever met." Sirius screams just as Lupin came to a close, Mikayla jumped at the sudden loudness of their voice. "Enough talk, Remus. Let's kill him-" Lupin told Black to wait, "I did my waiting! Twelve years of it, in Azkaban." Sirius yells, Mikayla stands in front of all her friends in a protective manor. "Alright, kill him. But wait one more minute, Harry has the right to know why." Lupin hands his wand to Black, "I know why. You betrayed my parents. You're the reason they're dead." Harry's voice shook as he spoke his thoughts, "No, Harry it wasn't him, somebody did betray your parents, but it was somebody who, until quiet recently, I believed to be dead!" Lupin argued, Harry shouted asking who was it, "Peter Pettigrew, he's in this room!" Sirius announces making Mikayla's knees feel weak, "Come out, come out Peter! Come out and play," Sirius was cut off by Snape coming through the door disarming Black. "Accio wand." Mikayla whispered under her breath, her wand that Sirius had left on the bed behind him, flew straight into her hand. Harry slid Hermione's wand out of her pocket during all the chaos and threats leaving Snape's mouth. Harry pointed his wand as Sirius before quickly moving it to Snape, "Expelliarmus!" Snape hit the head board of the bed, causing the four poster to collapse slightly. "Harry, what did you just do?" Ron asked frightened, "You attacked a teacher!" Hermione stated in awe, Mikayla raised her wand standing next to Harry.

"Tell us about Peter Pettigrew." Mikayla commanded from the two adults, "He was at school with us, we thought he was our friend." Lupin explained, Mikayla kept an eye on Sirius as Harry stated that Pettigrew was dead and Sirius had killed him, "No he didn't, I thought so too until you mentioned seeing Pettigrew on the map." Lupin jumped in front of Sirius, "the map was lying then!" Mikayla yelled looking into Lupin's eyes, "The map, never lies! Pettigrew's alive! And he's right there." Sirius pointed at Ron, who whimpered saying it was mental that he could be Peter. "Not you! Your rat!" Sirius yells, "Scabbers has been in my family for-" Sirius cuts Ron off, saying twelve years is a curiously long life for a garden rat and that he's missing a toe. "So what?" Ron asked, "All they could find left of Pettigrew was a-" Sirius cut Harry yelling that it was a finger. Black explained the day he was arrested briefly, when Harry asked Black to show him Peter was the rat, Black happily abided. Black snatched Scabbers off Ron, Lupin picked up his wand before the two started shooting spell as the rat tried to escape.

"Remus? Si-Sirius? My old friends!" Peter spoke happily before attempting to get out the door, before being blocked by Lupin and Black. Pettigrew looked around the room setting eyes on Harry, "Harry, look at you. You look so much like your father like Jam-" Mikayla stood in front of Harry, "Back away now!" She spoke sternly, Peter ran away from them as Sirius spoke viscously about Peter's nerve of talking to Harry about his father. "You sold James and Lilly out to Voldemort, didn't you!" Lupin yells at Peter, "I didn't mean to, the Dark lord, you have no idea of the weapons he possesses." Peter then asked Sirius what would he have done in his situation, "I would have died! I would have died rather than betray my friends." Mikayla and Harry rushed to the doorway to block Peter as he mad a run for it. Pettigrew latches onto Harry, "Harry, James wouldn't have wanted me killed." Mikayla's head was too clouded to listen to anymore information being thrown into the room, Peter's nail scratches Mikayla's cheek as Lupin and Black pull him away from Harry. "You should've realised Peter, that if Voldemort didn't kill you, we would. Together!" Sirius yells before Harry screams 'No', "Harry, this man is-" Harry cuts Lupin off, "I know what he is. But we'll take him to the castle." Mikayla stayed where she was as Harry walked towards the three men. Pettigrew blessed Harry for his kind heart, Harry kicked him off his leg. "I said we'd take you to the castle. After that, the dementors can have you." Peter whimpers at Harry's statement. Lupin magicked up Ron a splint for his broken leg, before the group made their way to the tunnel, Mikayla held Harry back from the group before wrapping her arms around him. "Thank you, Harry." Harry was confused but held his friend tightly, "My dad's name will be cleared because of you." Mikayla beamed at the boy before they caught up with the others.
