Girl Time

They all ate their dinner harmoniously, Mikayla convinced Percy to place a silencing charm on Hermione's room since he's of age and can do magic outside school. This was to prevent them to be overheard by anyone. Hermione locked the door before the three girls sat on the bed. They sat in silence for a few minutes before Mikayla finally got the courage to talk, "So Fred kissed me..." the girls squealed enthusiastically, gushing over the event that had taken place, "But now I really confused about feelings and stuff." Mikayla went on explaining after the other two calmed down. "Well this is the first time we've kissed outside of a game that was more than a peck. And Mrs Weasley walked in after it which made it really awkward and now I'm starting to feel like Fred might be regretting it because we didn't say anything just continued with the guitar lessons." Mikayla ranted taking a breather, when Mrs Weasley bursted in, causing the three girls to jump. "I'm here to help guide you!" Mrs Weasley placed more silencing charms on the room before sitting on the bed with the girls.

Mikayla sent a fleeting look to the girls and they just shrugged. "Mikayla is confused about Fred." Hermione explained Mikayla's eyes widened along with Ginny's. "What about him?" Mrs Weasley asked sweetly and cool. "I'm confused on how we feel about each other because we kissed just before you walked in looking for Ginny's jumper and then we didn't say anything about it at all. We acted like it never happened." Mikayla explains, Mrs Weasley gives an understanding nod with a small smile on her face. "You know I can guarantee you that Fred is having the same conversation with the boys right now in George's room." Mrs Weasley smiles causing Mikayla to blush widely and a subtle smile appears on her face. "It's clear you like him. And being his mother might make me a little biased, but I've never seen him look or talk to someone, the way he looks and talks to you and from what Ron's told me he's the same at Hogwarts." Molly informs Mikayla who looks at the woman confused about what Ron has told her. But that's an issue for another day, "but what do I do?" Mikayla asks Mrs Weasley who smiles brightly at the thought of being able to guide Mikayla in the right direction, "Give him a little distance, he'll come to you when he's ready." Mikayla nodded understanding what Mrs Weasley meant.

"Morning Gin, 'Mione." Mikayla spoke happily sitting between the girls, it's been 4 days since the kiss and tomorrow Mikayla will be on the train back to Hogwarts. Mikayla moved into Ginny's room under Mrs Weasley's request and advice. The four girls barely left the room, as Mrs Weasley insisted to continue her advice giving roll with the other two. "Now Hermione, how's everything going with Ron?" Mrs Weasley turned to the bushy haired girl whose face resembled Ginny's hair. "He's really awkward, like when it comes to hugging me, last year when we returned from being petrified, he shook my hand but hugged Mikayla." Hermione explained, Mrs Weasley nodded taking in the information Hermione had given her. "Ron has never really be the kind of person to show affection, but he shows jealousy really well. So if he's jealous when you spend time with other boys then you'll know he returns your feelings. Actually, all of you can follow that wave link." Mrs Weasley looked at the three girls and a successful girl talk that basically said make them jealous and their feelings will be revealed. "As for you Ginny, you need to relax yourself around Harry." Mrs Weasley told her before leaving the room, Ginny nodded.

Mikayla, Ginny and Hermione were all laying on Hermione's bed talking about random stuff. "Mikayla what your favourite colour?" Ginny asked, the three girls giggled slightly, "cyan or hazel brown, What about you two?" She asked turning her head to look at each girl, "I'm a maroon girl myself." Hermione spoke dreamily, "I like green." Ginny smiled, Hermione asked the group what was their favourite smell, "Mint Chocolate." Mikayla answered quickly remembering the smells the Amortentia revealed to her. "Gingerbread." Hermione answers her own question, "Broom polish." Ginny responded taking time to think. It was Mikayla's turn to ask the question, she asked them what their biggest fears were, "Failure." Hermione admitted truthfully, "You-Know-Who." Ginny also answered truthfully they both looked at Mikayla to see what her's was. "My father." Silence fell among the girls after Mikayla answered, they stared at the ceiling before Ginny asked Mikayla if she wanted to talk about it, Mikayla shook her head no. "I'm not quite ready to open up that can of worms, right now." Ginny sent her a smile.

"It's dinner time!" Mrs Weasley called from down stairs, Mikayla stretched before jumping off the bed, helping the other two girls up. They rush downstairs, to grabbed three seats together but unfortunately they didn't have that option. There was three separated seats, one in between Harry and Percy, Ron and George, Mr Weasley and Fred. Mikayla whispered to the girls knowing exactly what was going on, "Mione, next to Harry, Ginny next to Fred, I'll take the one in between George and Ron." They nodded before taking their seats, "Heya Georgie, Ron!" Mikayla smiled brightly taking the seat between the two boys, they smiled hello before sending looks towards Mr Weasley, Molly seemed very proud of the girls tactic. "Excited about going back to school tomorrow?" Mikayla asked the boys, who both groaned in response, Mikayla shook her head. "I could definitely use the distraction." She admitted to Ron, Mikayla has started to sink into a really negative headspace she got closer to school, remembering she won't be getting a letter every couple of days from her mam and dad. "Plus I miss Avery, so it'll be nice to see her again and talk, make sure she's ok." Mikayla rambled since the boys weren't responding to her, they wouldn't even look at her which made her really upset.

"Did I do something wrong?" She whisper asked Ron, her voice shaky as she tries to hold herself together. "What no!" He spoke sadly before giving her a small hug, "It just feels like you've been avoiding all of us lately and just spending time with the girls." He explains, Mikayla nodded sadly understanding what he was trying to say. "I didn't mean to, it's just easier to talk to the girls, especially since my mam has been on my mind a lot. And I didn't want to burden you guys." She admitted, yeah Mrs Weasley told them to keep their distance from the boys but distancing herself from the Weasley boys gave her a lot of time to think, something she learned quickly she didn't like. George hugged the girl, rubbing her back soothingly, "We may joke around a lot but we do all care about you and want you to be happy." Mikayla smiled at the red headed boy whose face seemed sad, Mikayla hated this, seeing someone so joyful saddened because of her. "You guys are the best." Mikayla smiled, kissing both of their cheeks causing the to blush yet smile widely.
