Freeing Black

"This is horrible." Hermione states as she watches as Harry shouts in pain as Mikayla tries to cast the Patronus charm. "Don't worry. Our parents will come. They'll conjure the Patronuses." Harry tells them, "Any minute now." Harry spoke worryingly, "Right there. You'll see." Harry points in the spot where they had seen their parents. "Harry, listen to me. No one's coming." Mikayla steps forward beside her friend. "You're dying.." Hermione spoke soothingly, "the three of you.." Harry pulls Mikayla to the edge of the Lake. They both raise their wands, before yelling the incantation, "EXPECTO PATRONUM " Silver bursted through the end of each of their wands, sending waves of silver light at the dementors as the Stag and German Shepard ran around the frozen Lake. They watched as both of them lost consciousness, before lowering their wands.

The three Gryffindors climbed onto Buckbeak's back, Mikayla allowed Hermione in the middle, since she'd never ridden a Hippogriff before. They took to the sky when Harry admitted Hermione was right, about the Patronus conjurors being their parents. "We knew we could do it this time because, well, we had already done it." Mikayla informed her, "Does that make sense?" Harry asked Hermione who told them it made no sense. They lowered quickly to the Dark Tower, Hermione screamed saying she doesn't like flying. When they landed, Hermione used the explosion charm to blow open the cell door. "Sirius. Come on." Harry yelled, the four of them climbed back on Buckbeak, landing in the courtyard. "I'll be forever grateful for this, to all of you." Sirius and Harry began having a heart to heart, so Mikayla and Hermione went to keep an eye on Buckbeak. Mikayla wrapped Sirius in a hug, "Stay safe, Dad." she tells him as she holds him tightly, "I will, I promise." Sirius chuckles at his daughter's worry. Mikayla helped him onto Buckbeak, "You really are the brightest witches of your age." Mikayla and Hermione beamed brightly at Sirius. They watched as Buckbeak and Sirius flew towards the moon, Mikayla heard a chime. "We have to get back to the Hospital Wing."

When they arrived on the hospital wing corridor, they saw Dumbledore closing the door. "Well?" Dumbledore asks turning around to face them, "He's free. We did it." Harry told Dumbledore as he made his way towards the stairs, "Did what? Good night." The three of them rush into the room, just after their past selves went back in time. "How did you get there?" Ron asked pointing at them. "I was just talking to you there." Ron pointed to where they had just disappeared, "And now you're there." his voice breaks slightly. "What's he talking about, Harry?" Hermione turns to the dark haired boy, "I don't know. Mikayla?" Harry turns to the blonde, who shrugs, "Honestly, Ron. How can somebody be in two places at once?" the three of them chuckle at their friends confusion. "Bed, you three." Madam Pomfrey orders after walking out of her office.

"Shush, she's waking up." Fred's voice filled Mikayla's ears, causing a big smile to plaster itself on her face. "Morning everyone." Mikayla's eyes flicker open, to see everyone sitting around her except for Ron. Everyone mumbled their mornings, "What time is it?" Mikayla sits up looking at Fred, "2pm." Mikayla's eyes widened at the news, "Wow, I must've really needed that sleep." She chuckles wiping her sleepy eyes. "How are you feeling?" Hermione questioned, Mikayla shrugged, "Hungry." Causing all the Weasley's to laugh, "You're free to leave Miss O'Brien." Mikayla nodded thanking the school's patron for once again taking care of her. Mikayla rushed out of the room heading to Gryffindor tower, "I'll follow her, stay with Ron!" She heard Hermione shout at the boys. "Oddsbodikins" The Fat Lady swing open, Mikayla heard Hermione yell after her, she stopped in her tracks allowing Hermione to catch up. "What are you doing?" Hermione asked out of breath, "Well since Ron can't leave the Hospital Wing because his leg, I was going to get two of the Secret Conversation journal's, so we can tell him what food there is, and bring him a plate." Hermione laughed shaking her head, "And you couldn't explain this back in the hospital wing?" Mikayla shook her, whispering that it was supposed to be a surprise. The two girls laughed before Hermione grabbed Mikayla's SC journal, and Mikayla grabbed Ron's, much to Neville's confusion.

Mikayla explained herself when she arrived back at the hospital wing, causing the boys to laugh and Ginny to shake her head. "So, Ron, whatever you want to eat during meal times, write and I'll bring it to you." Ron nodded happily, "This is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me." He fake cries, causing Mikayla to smile widely. "And between meals, we are your entertainment for the day." The others groan saying they didn't agree to entertain Ron as his bones heal. "Now I'll be back after lunch." Mikayla turns and rushes out the door, "Mikayla wait!" Mikayla stopped waiting for Fred to catch up.

Mikayla was relaxing on the couch in the common room, Percy, George and Ginny were down talking to Ron. "You excited for summer?" Mikayla asks Fred as she plays with his hair, "I get to spend everyday with you, no classes, detentions or exams to annoy us." Mikayla smiles at Fred's statement, "Just your family to interrupt every kiss we share." The pair laughed at the realness of Mikayla's joke, Ginny walked in out of breath, "Ron wants a song." Mikayla chuckled, "I have one but only is you sing with me, Ginny." Ginny agreed you Mikayla's terms.

Mikayla asked Madam Pomfrey to conjure up a piano, for just one song, she agreed to it surprisingly. Mikayla gave Ginny the words and told her to join in whenever she felt comfortable. (Mikayla is singing as Julia Lester, Ginny is Olivia O'Brien)

"I didn't know you could sing Ginny." Percy's admitted, Mikayla smiled and just winked at the girl, "You're the new performer." Mikayla stood up away from the piano, relieving herself of her duty of being the music box.
