"Hurry Mammy!" Mikayla yelled excitedly. She was meeting up with her best friends today in Diagon Alley, Avery and Fergal had already been the day before. Mikayla mother comes into view looking as done up as usual, she's been getting a little paler lately and not to mention the weight loss, she's basically skin and bone. "After you dear." She speaks soothingly, Mikayla does as instructed and shoots out of the Leaky Cauldron's fireplace. "Hello Tom!" She beamed at the landlord just as her mother comes flying out. "Mrs and Miss O'Brien is great to see you two again." Tom bows before walking away. They walk quickly out of the bar and enter the archway into the Wizarding Street, "Mammy, do we need to go to Gringotts first?" Mikayla asked her mother who hummed in response. "Let's go." She held her mother's hand as she guided her to the bank.

As they walk out of the bank, they see the Grangers and Weasleys talking outside, "There they are." Ginny pointed out Mikayla and her mam. "Avery and Fergal couldn't make it I'm afraid." Enya informs the parents once she has shook hands with them all. "Very well. Where to first?" Mr. Weasley asked rubbing his hand, but in response all the kids walked away in different directions. "You can join me, Enya, if you like." Molly spoke kindly, "FLOURISH AND BLOTTS IN AN HOUR!" She screamed where everyone nodded indicating they heard the plan.

The foursome explored Diagon Alley, got ice-cream thanks to Harry and some stationary supplies thanks to Hermione's nagging, Mikayla didn't mind at all. They met the Weasley twins with their friend Lee Jordan in Gambol and Japes Wizarding Joke Shop getting more wet-start fireworks. "It's all Mikayla's fault!" George defended himself, "Yeah, she introduced us to them last Christmas." Fred added, "This year I'll get you something safe, maybe just a lot of bubble wrap....Or maybe a anti-party throwing charm all over the castle and give myself less chores." Mikayla jokes, the boys faces dropped. "It was a joke." They all exhaled before leaving the twins to plan what trouble to get in this year. They saw Percy in a random shop, with his eyes glued to a book about what some ex prefects have accomplished after school.

Soon it was time to rejoin the group at Flourish and Blotts. While in the bookstore Harry ended up getting roped into a picture with a famous author. Mrs Weasley dismissed all the kids to leave the building but before they could "I'll bet you loved that, didn't you, Potter?" Draco Malfoy comes into view with his usual sneer. "Famous Harry Potter. Can't even go into a bookshop without making the front page." Draco continued spitefully. "Leave him alone." Ginny stood up to Malfoy catching everyone off guard since she's barely said a word in weeks because Harry's around. "Look, Potter. You've got yourself a girlfriend." Mikayla replaced Ginny, "You aren't jealous are you Malfoy." She spoke cooly, "As if O'Brien." He spat back, a black cane with a silver snake as the handle hit Draco's shoulder. "Now, now, Draco, play nicely." A cold voice sounds, Lucius Malfoy. "Mr. Potter. Lucius Malfoy. We meet at last. Forgive me." Lucius pulls Harry closer yanking his arm causing Mikayla to protectively hold his shoulder. "Your scar is legend. As, of course, is the wizard who gave it to you." A Draco smirk plastered on Lucius' face. "Voldemort killed my parents." Lucius let go of Harry after he spoke. "He was nothing  more than a murderer." Harry continued. "You must be very brave to mention his name. Or really foolish." Lucius hums, causing Mikayla to roll her eyes at him. "Fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself." Hermione's voice had a slight spice of venom in her words. "And you must be Miss Granger." Lucius looked at Hermione, confirming it with Draco. "Yes, Draco has told me all about you. And your parents." Lucius spat, "Muggles, aren't they?" Mikayla scoffed, "And there's a problem with that is there." Mikayla spoke for Hermione, "Not at all, Miss O'Brien." Lucius was receiving dirty looks from all the kids but his own. "Let me see. Red hair, vacant expressions, tatty, secondhand book. You must be the Weasley." His voice stayed cool and hurtful. He takes Ginny's book out of her cauldron. "Sorry Mr. Malfoy but have you not been taught that you must not touch others belongings without their consent." Mikayla spat, looking at the book he just took. "Children! It's mad in here. Let's go outside." Mr Weasley butts in, "Well, well, well. Weasley senior." Mr Malfoy spoke. "Lucius." Mr Weasley didn't hide his hatred towards Mr. Malfoy. "Busy time at the Ministry, Arthur, all those extra raids? I do hope they're paying you overtime but judging by the state of this, I'd say not." Lucius waved around Ginny's book before dropping it back inside her cauldron. "What's the use in being a disgrace to the name of wizard if they don't even pay you well for it?" Mikayla was being held back from Fred from doing anything to Mr. Malfoy. "You're a v-" Mikayla begins to shout before Fred covers her mouth and her words get muffled. When they left Fred finally let go of Mikayla, "He'll be receiving a very strongly worded letter from me soon." Mikayla glared at the door.

Mikayla and Enya said goodbye to the Grangers and the Weasley's as they made their way back to the Leaky Cauldron. Mikayla told her mam everything Mr. Malfoy said about her friends. Miss O'Brien was saddened by the news but she knew that Mikayla's father would take the Malfoy's side, which is making her next decision a little more complicated. "Darling, I've got to stop at Gringotts again. Can you go ahead home and please don't mention the Malfoy's to your father." Enya weakly smiles before watching Mikayla walk away after their goodbyes.

"Hello, I'd like to open a new vault for my daughter, Mikayla O'Brien."
