Birthdays

"Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear Mikayla, Happy birthday to youuuu." Mikayla's ears filled with the Weasley's voices in song, she opened her eyes as they all stood in the door frame, Mrs Weasley held a cake, while the Twins continued singing a jolly good fellow. A smile plastered on Mikayla's face, they remember that Mikayla's real birthday was July 20th. "Thank You!" Mikayla jumped up blowing out her candles and giving each Weasley a hug, Fred got a little peck on the lips along with his hug, before Mikayla and Ginny ushered everyone out of the room. "Today is going to be a crazy day, you know what Mum and Dad are like when it comes to birthdays." Ginny states, Mikayla knows all about the birthday chaos that happens at the Weasley's, in Egypt Ginny ended up getting really sun burnt on her birthday because they refused anyone to go inside from 11am to 5pm. Mikayla stayed away from the pool because the sun was scorching up everyone in it during the day.

Mikayla walked downstairs to see the table filled with her favourite breakfast foods, bacon, pancakes, omelettes, sliced peaches and a bowl filled with grapes. Mikayla smiled widely thanking Mrs Weasley for the food, and how she appreciated the effort put in for her birthday. Mikayla took her usual spot, administrating small talk with Fred and Ginny before plating up her food. They all ate in silence before Mikayla was directed into the living room, "Dad!?" Mikayla ran to Sirius wrapping him into a big hug, tears filled her eyes as she looked at the innocent man she helped save just a few months ago. "How?" She asked, not being able to string together a normal sentence. "I let myself be seen in Athens in Greece by a lot of very frightened Muggles before flying Buckbeak here." Mikayla hasn't felt this extent of happiness since winning the Quidditch Cup, she might even be happier this time around which she didn't think was possible. "Arthur set it up really." Sirius admits Mikayla thanks Mr Weasley, hugging him for the second time this morning. "I brought you something, it should help with your quidditch playing." Sirius speaks from behind Mikayla, he held up a Firebolt with a thick red ribbon wrapped around it. "I love it, thank you so much." Sirius smiles, excepting another hug from his daughter, he was very grateful of the Weasley's for reaching out to him and finding a way Mikayla could spend her birthday with her dad. "Alright so I have to make up for 12 missed birthd-" Mikayla cut Sirius off as he pulls out a bag full of money, "Dad, you already have by just being here." Sirius became silent, he thought every kid would be overjoyed by extra birthday presents on their birthday but not Mikayla. She was much like her mother, presence is more important to her than presents. Mikayla leaned into dad whispering, "You know the Weasley's have been taking really good care of me, I think they deserve that money because I'm a handful." Sirius chuckled nodding, whispering back that he'll give it to them before leaving.

"Alright, Dad of course you know all Weasley's but there's one in particular that I want to introduce to you, myself." Sirius nodded as Mikayla dragged Fred from the kitchen into the living room, "Dad, this is Fred. My boyfriend." Sirius also choked on his pumpkin juice, he clearly didn't know how to act. Fred sat next to Sirius, making the introduction a lot more comfortable. "Well, boyfriend Fred, keep this one safe and happy, I know it'll be a lot of work, she's a handful." The three of them laughed, Mikayla slowly left Sirius and Fred to talk, her absence unnoticed as she made her way over to Mrs Weasley. "I wanted to thank you again, Mrs Weasley, not just for today, but for everything you've done for me." Mrs Weasley has a small tear run down her cheek, Mikayla felt horrible to see her cry, Mrs Weasley was always the happy type. "I Love You." Mrs Weasley pulls Mikayla into a oxygen preventing hug, "I Love You Too, Mrs Weasley." This made Mrs Weasley squeeze tighter, "Alright Molly, you're going to break the girl." Arthur laughs as he watched Mikayla's face go red.

"Goodbye Dad, thanks for coming." Mikayla hugs Sirius outside the Weasley's back door. "Be safe and, stay hidden. I love you." Mikayla whispers, Sirius was shocked by the statement Mikayla had just revealed to him, "I Love You Two, baby." Sirius rubs Mikayla's back before they separated. "See you soon." Sirius handed Mikayla a letter before he disappeared in the Weasley's wheat field. Mikayla rushed upstairs into her room to read the letter.

'Dear Mikayla,
Believe me, I know how hard it is to be separated from each other after finally finding one another again. I just want you to know just because I'm not there physically doesn't mean I'm not there. Whenever you feel lost or alone, I'll always be here for you. I'll always be here for you no matter how big or small your problem is.
I hope that one day we can explore the world together, maybe after you finish in Hogwarts. There's so many things I want to show and teach you but there's also so many things I want to learn from you and about you.
I may not be a seer in any way, shape or form but I know that you'll amount to great things in the future. I mean how could you not? You're smart, beautiful, courageous, adventurous and most of all strong. You know the difference of right or wrong, and you know how people work. I love how you use your talents to make a difference, you life might be chaotic but you use your artistic side to make it seem easy
Stay strong babygirl, there'll be more days like this one and many more shared birthdays celebrated together.

P.S We had no idea you would become a seer. and Mikayla is not from my family but the Potter family tree, James' mother who took me in when I left home was named, Euphemia Mikayla Potter. She was the closest thing I had to family than any blood relative could be, all but one, you.

Mikayla felt so inspired to write a song, using her father's letter for meaning and message of the song. She played around with the keyboard before finally coming up with the melody. As she plays the tune, words seem to flow out of her like a waterfall. Just as she reach the middle of the second verse there was a knock on the door. "Come in!" Mikayla invited, in walked two people Mikayla thought would never be in the burrow. "Avery? Father." Mikayla looked at them in shock, Avery hugged Mikayla, "Dad has something to tell us." Fergal sent warning eyes at Mikayla, "I'm here to tell the truth about our family...."

Fergal told the 'twins' about how they're step sisters, and how today was Mikayla's true birthday, Mikayla pretended that this was news to her, he acted hurt and shocked. "Avery your biological mother is Bellatrix Lestrange. Mikayla your biological father is Sirius Black." The pair lost it, yelling at Fergal about his dishonesty, Fergal announces that Mikayla has been stripped from the O'Brien family, announcing her new name of Mikayla Black, before they fell silent. "Well, Happy birthday, I guess." Avery was tearing up, this hurt Mikayla, "I can't believe we're not sisters." She frowned before hugging Mikayla, "Avery we may not have the same blood running through our veins but you're still my sister no matter what." Avery squeezed Mikayla tighter, Mikayla followed this action, the two just hugged for another 10 minutes before Fergal announced they are leaving. "See you at school." Mikayla whipped the tear from Avery's cheek, Avery nodded sadly, "Sisters?" Mikayla held out her pinky finger, Avery wrapped her pinky finger around Mikayla's, "Sisters."

Mikayla went back to song writing a little while later, she finished the song when Mr and Mrs Weasley walked in with Sirius' money bag. "Sirius left this for you." Mrs Weasley says trying to hand Mikayla the money bag, "Wasn't there a note with it." Mr Weasley told Mikayla that they didn't see one just as Selene flew in the window with a note, addressed to Molly and Arthur. Mikayla handed them the note, they read the note before looking at Mikayla. "You want to give it to us?" Mr Weasley question, Mikayla nodded, "You've both done a lot for me, gave me a home, food on the table and happiness. My birthday wish was to repay you for everything, thus my birthday money is now yours."

"Can I hear your new song?" Ginny asks walking into there shared bedroom, Mikayla looked at her confused, "I've heard you playing the melody." Ginny explains, Mikayla nods. She presses the play button that played the tune of her new song that she had just recorded.
