Harry's been at Grimmauld place for just over a day now. He's currently enjoying his second Mrs Weasley dinner of the summer of 1995. Mikayla decided not to waste her bread today as she was starving. She's been trying to prep Harry for his hearing with the ministry causing her to spend hours researching and missing breakfast and lunch. "You know, I'm surprised at you. I thought the first thing you'd do when you got here would be to start asking questions about Voldemort." Sirius spoke out of no where. The light chatter in the room stopped and everyone tensed up. Mikayla slowly put down her fork, to give it her full attention. "I did!" said Harry indignantly. "I asked Ron, Mikayla, and Hermione but they said we're not allowed in the Order, so-" "And they're quite right," Molly interrupted. "You're too young." She ground her teeth and clutched the arms of her chair, ready to leap out of it. "Since when did someone have to be in the Order of the Phoenix to ask questions?" Sirius raised an eyebrow at Mikayla who sunk a little in her chair. "I assumed if Harry wasn't allowed know either was I." Mikayla whispered her excuse. "Harry's been trapped in that Muggle house for a month. He's got the right to know what's been happen-" "Hang on!" George interjected. "How come Harry gets his questions answered?" Fred demanded. "We've been trying to get stuff out of you for weeks and you haven't told us a single stinking thing!" George continued as though they shared thought." 'You're too young, you're not in the Order,' " Fred mocked his mother's high voice. "Harry isn't even of age!"
"It's not my fault you haven't been told what the Order's doing," Sirius spoke calmly. "That's your parents' decision. Harry, on the other hand-" "It's not down to you to decide what's good for Harry!" Molly snapped. "You haven't forgotten what Dumbledore said, I suppose?" She glared at Sirius. "Which bit?" He smiled politely but you could tell it was very fake. "The bit about not telling Harry more than he needs to know," Molly seemed to say other things with her eyes. Everyone's heads were whipping back and forth now across the table, Mikayla's head however stood still staring at her dinner as she listens, watching as each person spat at the other. "I don't intend to tell him more than he needs to know, Molly" Sirius said calmly, then took a deep breath. "But as he was the one who saw Voldemort come back- and Mikayla! Both of them have the right to know what's going on! They almost died!" "Well now you are just being biased!" Molly glared. "I'm being biased for wanting my daughter to be informed about the man that almost killed her?" He sounded shocked. "No- no- that's- that's not what I meant! They aren't members of the Order of the Phoenix! None of them are!" Molly began to seem distressed. "They are only fifteen and-" "and they've dealt with as much as most in the Order," Sirius said. "and more than some-" "No one's denying what they've done! What Harry has done!" Molly's voice grew louder and her knuckles turned white from clenching the arms of the chair. "But he's still-" "He's not a child!" Sirius said impatiently, he had already heard this excuse countless times. "He's not an adult either!" Molly warned. "He's not James, Sirius!" "I'm perfectly clear who he is, thanks, Molly. And I assume you're going to say the same about Mikayla? That she isn't her mother, that she's not Enya? I know very well who these kids are, they are my family, and they've been through a damn lot." his voice was cold and resentful. "I'm not sure you do realise who they are!" said Molly. "ENOUGH!" Mikayla yelled, causing everyone's head to snap towards her, her hands were shaking on the table. "Just stop arguing please." Her voice was a lot softer than her yell, it was almost a whisper, her head drops slightly, counting to ten in her head trying to calm herself down.
"Personally," Remus started quietly. "I think it better that Harry gets the facts- not all the facts, Molly, but the general picture- from us, rather than a garbled version from... others." Mikayla was 99% sure he was referring to them trying to eavesdrop on their meetings. "Well," Molly sighed. "well.. I can see I'm going to be overruled. I'll just say this: Dumbledore must have had his reasons for not wanting Harry to know too much, and speaking as someone who has got Harry's best interests at heart-" "He's not your son." Sirius said quietly. Something about Sirius saying this made her fell horrendous, Mrs Weasley has been there for Harry since first year. "He's as good as," said Molly fiercely. "Who else has he got?" "He's got me!" Mikayla pushed back her chair standing up very nosily, before going to leave, "I'm going upstairs. Come and get when you're finished acting like children." Mikayla made eye contact with her dad turning to Mrs Weasley, "Thanks for dinner." She smiled before leaving the room and heading upstairs.
About ten minutes later there was a knock on Mikayla's bedroom door. "Come in." In walked Ginny who laid down on the bed beside Mikayla. "They're telling the others everything. If you want to go down." Mikayla shook her head, "No, I need a little break from that room. Plus Harry, Ron and Hermione will just tell us later." Ginny nodded, "If you don't mind me asking, why were you so upset?" Mikayla took a deep breath, "Look I love your mum and my dad, to see them be so vicious towards one another... I just couldn't take it being the reason of an argument again." Mikayla stared at her ceiling, the two girls laid in silence, "You know, Percy wasn't your fault right?" Mikayla nodded her head at Ginny's question. "With Voldemort back I just don't see the point in fighting each other. It's the last thing we need." Ginny hugged Mikayla, Mikayla quickly hugged Ginny back. "You're my best friend Kayla." Ginny admits out of no where, Mikayla shook her head no, "We're sisters Gin." Ginny beamed at the label of their relationship, she had always wanted a sister and every since Mikayla moved in with them, she hoped that one day they would consider their friendship a sisterhood. That day is today.
