◇Lucifer POV◇
I couldn't believe it I refuse to. My dove snatched from me before my eyes and is now in the hands of that evil prick, I felt my heart split as soon as I saw Salem slip through that portal I knew apart of me was gone and now I have no idea where he is.
"Sir we can't find no trace of energy that could lead-"
"I TOLD YOU I NEEDED ANSWERS NOT EXCUSES!" The two wimp soldiers quake in their boots as I scream at them for not trying hard enough. "NEXT TIME YOU COME TO SPEAK TO ME YOU HAVE BETTER HAVE FOUND SOMETHING! NOW GO!" they mutter a 'yes sir' as I had back to my tent where I stare down onto the ground in defeat.
It's been hours since Salem has been captured. Not a single trace to be found and I'm here losing my mind, Salem was an anchor to me also holding me back from my worse impulses and with him gone I might sway back to my old self. The one that was vile, ruthless and hated everything but for the sake of Salem I'm hanging on.
The only joy I can find from this misery is that my mother is back. She's been letting me have my alone time probably because she hasn't seen me angry before and I think I'm scaring her which is the last thing I want. She's finally got her freedom back so she's experiencing life once more away from locked doors and with my father on his way I think her moods will brighten up as mine dampens further. Axel and Troye have recovered from their bruises and have joined the others back at the Temple to see if there is anything to lead us to Salem but so far nothing.
How could I have been so stupid?
My job was to love and protect Salem but I failed him...I'm lost without him like a raft at sea floating away aimlessly without his anchor to hold him down, when my hands find Siegfried I'll be sure to skin him alive and hang him in front of the castle walls to remind people of what happens to traitors.
"Lucifer are you alright? May I come in?" My mother's voice reaches me from outside my tent as I quickly calm my anger and look presentable in from of her as she enters. "Seems like you've done a number to this place...didn't expect this much damage." She wonders around the tent that was destroyed from my fury.
"Love makes us do crazy things."
"That you are right. Love was the only thing that kept me going all those years of captivity. Siegfried wasn't bad no he was vile the things he did in his spare time when he wasn't oogling at me were unnatural." Just hearing his name is making my grip on the chair tighten. "He was highly obsessed with creating things that weren't particularly normal per say but rather his own creations."
"Those emerald creatures you speak of? He created them in his lab and many more that were in deep sleep, if it weren't for Salem blowing them up then we would be screwed."
"I'm glad he did so as he was planning on attacking you in a few weeks but needed some resources that he stole from the fairies with the help of the Orcs, mindless beasts anyways I used the time he went away searching to go ahead and use an emerald he kept that gave him the ability to see whoever he wished for most times it was me but when I used it...I saw you." My grip loosen entirely once she mentions the emerald.
"You still have that emerald?" I say in a rush getting up in a hurry. "If so we could use that to see Salem and pinpoint his whereabouts."
"I'm afraid I cannot..." She shows me what use to be a whole emerald but now is two fragments. "It broke after the whole structure was collapsing but I managed to still grab it in time just in case we could fix it."
"There's a possibility that this can get fixed?"
"Yes but only by another magical user with the same experience as Siegfried's to help fuse the two parts together otherwise it won't work." My mind flashes to Salem as his powers were on the same level but with him gone there's not many people left expect I do have one...though his father might be a bit more strict with allowing him here.
