Centuries Later:

Lucifer POV:

"WATCH OUT!" Salem calls as he holds back a hoard of rouge vampires, I turn and get pinned down by a female who tried sinking her fangs into me but I turn my body on fire and burn her away from me.

"Your blood must taste spicy." She hisses at me getting back up. "I'll drain you till there's nothing left." She charges at me as I plant my feet in the ground and pick her up before I throw her face down into the ground breaking her jaw.

"Nice try pretty lady but nobody gets to taste me besides my husband." Speaking of Salem looks like he needs some help, I rush over with my axe and join him back to back fighting off these vampires. "Uriel may be our grandson but he needs to grow a backbone." I say chopping of one of the vampires limb.

"He's still new to this so cut him some slack plus without Axel to give him guidance the whole vampire clan is rebelling which is why we're here in the first place." He says smashing two heads together. "It's also another great way for us to gain forgiveness from the twins." Oh yes the boys finally found out and till this very day haven't forgiven us so helping their son is one way to win them back.

These vampires have been conspiring against Uriel for they deem him too young and unfit to rule even though he's technically next in line anyways they believe he's weak, idiots but now they're learning that maybe they should adapt to their new ruler otherwise death is the only option left. As we finish burning the last vampire body a portal opens and incomes the king of vampires himself in all his glory.

"There he is." Salem greets Uriel with a hug messing his golden hair. "Your father's aren't coming?"

"Unfortunately no but I've spoken to them and they've agreed to somewhat forgive you after all it's been 100 years since they found out and holding a grudge that long isn't healthy at all." Ain't that the truth. "I wanted to personally come here to thank you for your support, it's great having the former kings as well as the actual one on my side." Blaze has been doing a wonderful job as king much to my delight. "But I have some rather unexpected news that came from a close source of mine."

"Is this news beneficial to us because we can't keep doing your dirty work Uriel?" I ask.

"It does...in fact it connects us all but my own parents don't know about this especially my father Alexi who would go himself and endanger his life."

"So you want us to endanger ours?" Salem throws me a look to hear him out so I decide it's best if I shut up.

"No of course not but you both have more experience plus you're the only two I can trust to see if this rumour is true." Salem and I sit down on the logs and hear Uriel out. "As you know I'm king of vampires which obviously had an uproar due to the original king going missing...however I got a call informing me that there could be a potential chance he might live..."

"Wait Axel is alive...is that what you're telling us?" Salem says in which Uriel nods. "Can't be...we haven't felt his life force in years so how is it now something comes up?" Salem is right after moving in to our home we kept trying day and night to locate Axel but nothing much came with that.

"I know it's not believable but it's the only lead we've had since he's disappearance after Troye passed away. This is why I need you to investigate this lead just to confirm if it's true or not, I know it's a lot to ask of you and I wouldn't want to open up old wounds but if there's even a small chance he's alive then maybe we should look into it...who knows what could've happened to him unless we look into it."

"Lucifer you've been quiet...do you really think this source is credible?" Salem asks and I'm honestly spilt.

"I'm not sure...I mean I obviously want to help out our old friend but what if we investigate and find nothing? It opens more questions. But what damage does it do for us to investigate? If we find him then it's great we can help support him like we should've done instead of leaving him alone and if nothing comes up then we have to face the music, he wants nothing to do with us or that he  might be...gone. I know it's hard for us to stomach that but we can finally rest this case if we go." If Axel is dead or alive then searching for him will give us answers once and for all.

"Like I said I know it sounds crazy but there is a possibility of him being alive. We just need to confirm it, I take Lucifer is onboard." I nod wanting to know if my pal is still here. "And you Salem?" Salem looks up at me and sighs.

"I guess it don't hurt to find out but I'm just worried we won't find anything and that'll affect us all."

"I know dove but at least we get closure which is something we all damn well need."

"Then it's settled you'll both go to where the source told me he might be and once you've concluded your investigation of whether Axel is dead or alive, we can finally move on with knowing the truth." He hands me a small scroll. "In there is where you'll find the location of where he is or could be, I hope we get good news or something other than unanswered questions. I have faith you both will do well and thanks for the help." We bid farewell to Uriel as he leaves us to ponder our thoughts.

"This could be messy. If Axel is alive you know he'll be...not him."

"I know but I'm willing to go and make things better for him."

"Well how bout we get started tomorrow morning nice and early?" I nod stretching my body as Salem opens the portal to our cottage. "Lucifer, we'll get answers don't worry." He kisses me before entering our home as I wait outside and look down at the scroll.

"We're coming for you Axel, stay put wherever you are."

I had a blast writing this and I'm grateful for everyone who read it, although it wasn't as successful as the first book I wrote it's definitely an upgrade for sure.
