SHADES

There are lots of shades that we wore everyday,
Like the shade of blue and gray,
As red as the apple, you're happy to stay,
And place your bright skin on the hottest day,

Carefully roasting your own color to be brown,
to say that you we're different,
every piece of shades you have was expensive,
yet you value yourself cheap,

You tried to be someone else for the society,
So far from who you really are,
That deadly spikes just summoned a demon,
With unstoppable incontentment,
And it was because the people wanted you to show a different scent,

Your voice was golden and clear,
So graceful as you sing a song dear,
How about dancing? Is it you to play and hear?,
For a simple note failure you were judged,

The stage was the deadliest place ever made,
And your performance was an escape,
Their claps were just a sugar coated stabs,
That warms your heart until you play the things that they wanted,

Do you really wanted to this?,
or someone just pushed you to be someone else?,
change is inevitable, I know,
But for worse is another seed to sow,

The pain wasn't changed,
But transformed into another type of pain,
Sometimes sweet, and just somehow bitter,
Traps you in your neck and eat you on your own dinner,

I placed my hands up high,
And suddenly praise my God,
Why do people think they were different and useless?,
Even they were special to you?

It's not about the people,
It's about the society that brings us down,
Don't just sit and murmur your frown,
Get dressed as yourself like a clown,
And laugh all the critiques around you till they stop,

Place a shade for your flaws,
But don't let it hide,
Show them that even you have them,
It doesn't take less of you as a person,
and you are special for God gave you life as an instrument as a reason,

Shades of darkness was eerie and illusive,
don't be deceived by its calming silence,
My pain wasn't that good to be labeled as addiction,
But was good to hear as hobby,
