"Are you going to kiss me before I'm off?" Gideon asked me, his eyes closed as he pointed at his cheek. I stared at it and was tempted to do something else to it.

"No, just get in the car-."

"Damian don't treat me like this when I'm about to be off! The most you can do is offer me some love before I leave." He whined, folding his arms as I looked around him and saw everyone waiting for him.

Kenji was right beside me since he was staying with me, but Gideon was being fucking difficult. Everyone was becoming frustrated because they couldn't leave without him. The fact that he was causing such a problem over me not giving him a kiss goodbye was ridiculous.

"Damian-!"

I leaned forward and kiss his cheek, coming back as I fold my arms in annoyance. He winked at me, blowing an imaginary kiss at me and I swatted it away.

"Your kisses? They give me life." He husks and I roll my eyes.

"Your suffering? I relish in it." I tease, causing him to wink at me.

"A room? A fucking room? You both need to fucking get one." Kenji snapped as we both looked down at him. He pointed outside and Gideon sighed as he walked away now.

Once he was in the car, it sped off, and now I looked at Kenji. He had an entertained expression on his face as he grabbed my hands and nodded upstairs.

"You wanna play hide-and-week with the maids?" He asked me, and I chuckled as I wish I could.

"I would do that, but I'm on a mission. You know Jun King?"

Kenji's excitement faded instantly as soon as I asked that question. He nodded as he locked the front door and folded his arms.

"Well, I don't think he's dead. Sorrel told me a story about how he found out Jun was dead, but there was no evidence. Jun just...disappeared. You know who was there beforehand? Gideon's ratchet father." I inform him and he didn't seem all that convinced.

"That's a dangerous assumption to make if you don't know for sure. Jun has been dead in our minds for eight years. You both are twenty-four now and you're involved in his life. Why do you suddenly care to find out about Jun when you just up and figured out who that was through a dream. Are you some wizard?" He asked me in a hushed-time.

I shook my head, chuckling as I rested my fingers on my temples.

"The dream wouldn't just happen at random. What if Jun is alive?" I raise my eyebrows at him and Kenji shrugs.

"Yeah what if. Even if he is, he's probably living his own life and doesn't need to be brought into this one. Don't you think this is a blessing in disguise for him?" Kenji states as he grabs some pillows and seemed to be building a pillow fort.

His words didn't satisfy me. I feel like there could've been a better way to go about it instead of saying a child is straight up...dead. Especially if it's your own child.

The methods that are done in that kind of thing are frightening.

"Maybe. But, I'm doing this for both Sorrel and Gideon. I feel bad...about the whole thing. After I heard the story and everything...I think it's one big lie. Usually my gut isn't wrong about these kind of things." I smirk, patting my gut as Kenji raises his eyebrow.

"Oh really? Trust in your gut? What if it's wrong? This is a sensitive matter that you're arising and it's...dangerous. Jun was Gideon's life and he was taken from him very abruptly. If he finds out he's alive...he may kill his own father. Be smart about this." He seemed to be informing me, like he was warning me.
