I.

Diana entered the kitchen rather serious and with her shades on her face. Her head was pounding from the poor time of sleep. She found the place especially silent and noticed only James and Helen were in there. James was leaning against the counter, as usual, sipping on a huge cup of coffee and Helen was just passing by her to leave.

"Di, don't forget the barbecue tonight." She said pointing a finger at her and Diana just nodded as an answer. Her head was pounding as she if she had the biggest hangover of all times.

James watched her coming in and perceived how especially silent she was. Diana wasn't usually like that. He watched every inch of her body and every little detail of her moves. She bent over the table to leave her shades there and he smiled.

"Bad morning?" He joked with his lips curved in a soft smile.

"How can you joke in a morning like this?" She said giving him a shy and tired smile. He noticed how her eyes seemed so restless. They were bloodshot, a little swollen and a black shadow around them.

"Maybe you shouldn't stay out until so late on workdays." He teased. Diana was about to grab a cup off the cupboard but stopped and looked at him rolling her eyes. Her lips curved softly on an almost imperceptible smile.

"Excuse me!" She said trying to sound a bit annoyed. "But maybe... my boss shouldn't be taking me out until so late for business things..." She retorted.

James smiled at her, but she didn't see it, because she immediately turned to grab a cup again. His head bent down when he noticed her legs as she stood at the tip of her toes to grab a cup that was on the first shelf. Diana was wearing a denim skirt above her knees and a Misfits black shirt. He couldn't but notice the shirt, he loved the band. When she grabbed the cup, she put it under the coffee machine and waited until it filled up. She then looked at him.

"How come you look so good after sleeping poor hours?" She questioned him mindless about her words.

James curled an eyebrow and teased her. "I look good?" Just then, Diana measured the weight of her words. What had she just say? She mentally frowned. Being tired made her say things she thought out loud.

James was on a white shirt and fade blue jeans a little ragged around the waist and front pockets. Some worn signs around the knees were also visible. He was so casual and at the same time so freaking sexy. He was wearing black Converse on his feet and she loved a man on Converse. Her mind twisted. He was indeed the sexiest man she had ever seen, and her insides were giving her hell one more time.

"Look so fresh..." She corrected her words though looking good was still on her mind while she observed him. His hair unrulier than usual. GOD HELP ME! She yelled inside her mind.

James lifted the XXL size cup in his hands. "Coffee... this size..." He confessed.

"That's what I am having too." She said, then she continued talking to him. "After I got home, I stayed talking with one of my friends on Skype and slept like 3 hours..." She explained. "I feel awful..."

"You look good for someone who just slept three hours..." He commented and Diana turned her head to look at him, after grabbing her cup of coffee. He had a soft provocative smile on his lips. "Fresh... I meant..." He said in the end and she realized he was teasing her.

Was he flirting with her? She thought and then she mentally rolled her eyes at herself for having these thoughts again first thing in the morning. These thoughts were what led her to just three hours of sleeping and there she was... again... being face to face with her sleep deprived motive. That man was driving her mad. She desired him like no one else in her life. It was the type of desire she couldn't even put on words.
