After leaving the shower, Diana moisturized her body and raided her wardrobe naked, just with a towel around her head. She was going on a motorcycle ride, so she needed something more radical, but she also wanted to look attractive. She chose her black tight jeans and her old faded Maiden shirt. On her feet she would wear her red biker boots. That should impress him. She put a few drops of Channel 5 behind her ears, wrists and collarbone, grabbed her leather jacket and descended to the kitchen to have breakfast. She found Pam scrambling eggs on the stove.

"Good morning!" Diana exclaimed a little surprised to see her. "I thought you were at Danny's."

"Sorry... I know it's awful to bring a guy here, but we were nearer, and we left the barbecue quite late." Pam explained. "It was so late when we left Helen's..."

Diana smiled and went to the cabinet to grab a bowl. "Nonsense. He is your boyfriend. I am cool with it."

Pam watched her from behind and curled an eyebrow surprised with her look. "Where are you going?"

Diana put the bowl on the counter and went to fridge to grab some yogurt. "I am going on a ride with James..." She said looking back at Pam for a few seconds.

"His Saturday ride?" Pam asked and Diana nodded.

Pam whistled and then giggled. Diana looked back while she sliced a banana into the yogurt. "What does that mean?" She asked.

"He never takes anyone with him, and I literally mean anyone. To say the least, he might have taken his wife at the time..."

"Oh..." Diana blurted not knowing what to say. "Pam..." She then blurted feeling awkward and not knowing what to tell her. She just shook her head.

"No... really... He's inviting you into his world. That is something big for him..." Pam said. "I know him Di..." Pam looked deep in her eyes. "If you are not on the same page, please let him know..."

"That's not it!" Diana said shooting a smile and shaking her head, then continued slicing her banana. "We are friends. There are not any other thing going on..." Diana insisted, though her heart started skipping beats at the thought.

"Don't mislead him..." Pam insisted. Diana looked back at her.

"There is nothing going on between us." Diana affirmed. "We talk. We like to talk, that is all..." She said coming to the table with her breakfast ready.

"If you say so." Pam put a cup of coffee in front of her and Diana looked up at her.

"Look... I don't want to get involved with anyone and neither does he. We even talked about it last night." Diana said.

"Like I said... you two are adults so you must know what you are doing." Pam patted her arm. "I just wouldn't like to see him hurt..."

"It's not what you are thinking..." Diana insisted. She would never divide with Pam the carnal desire she felt for him. "I would never do anything to hurt him." She said knowing somehow that she wouldn't.

Pam smiled and patted her shoulder. "Open your eyes, Di... see beyond." She said. "Now let me check on my man."

"Thanks for the coffee." Diana said.

"Have fun." The other retorted from far.

Diana was left with her last words. Was there something she wasn't seeing? She remembered then how they almost kissed twice in the same day. There was desire, but that was it and they were adults, they would know how to deal with it. Diana smiled and quivered as she remembered their failed kissing attempts. She desired him, definitely, but not in a romantic way. Right? It was not in a romantic way, right? The doubt forming in her head.
