I.
San Francisco...
Mark went out clubbing at night with some of his friends even if it was in the middle of the week. It wasn't his first plan, but the fight with Cassie at home after work, determined his spirit to do so. His friends were excellent in winding things up. Some male talking, some beers, some dancing and some harmless flirt would for certain lift his mood up.
Things hadn't been easy with Cassie lately. With his crazy schedules for the all the fairs they had to prepare. With her constants flights between Denver and San Francisco dividing her time between a college where she taught and the hospital she worked in, their relationship was suffering from the constant absence of them both. Jealousy was taking over. Trusting little in each other was affecting them. Finding themselves wanting to do different things. Things seemed to be falling apart and they were growing in different directions. That night, instead of wanting to stay near her to make things better as so many other times before, he wanted to go out and have some fun. He needed to distance himself from her.
The club near the beach was packed despite being a week day. The music was not that great, for some pop music was blasting on the speakers but Mark wasn't looking for good music, he was only looking for some laughs and some fun and he was getting that. His five long term buddies were offering him exactly what he had been looking for, and after the fifth beer, Cassie was quite forgotten and so was all the yelling shouted at home.
The group of men was standing near the door that led to a terrace over a beach. The door was opened, so a cool fresh breeze could be felt mixed with sea scent, that served the purpose to refresh them from the considerable heat inside that room. The dance floor was filled with people dancing, mostly younger people having a blast after a day filled with classes at the university. Mark abstracted himself from the conversation for brief instants to observe the people dancing. Him too was balancing his legs a little bit to the sound of the techno bass that was somehow catchy or maybe it was just the beers taking over.
In one of his tours eyeing the dance floor, he spotted this joyful girl dancing around like there was no tomorrow. So absorbed in the music that it seemed nothing else around her existed, though she was visibly with a group of friends. Her extremely long blond wavy hair swaying around and some strands falling wildly on her face. Her moves extraordinarily sexy. His eyes stopped watching other people at that sight. Though her figure became familiar in the next few seconds he watched her dance.
He knew that girl, he had met her some days before at the fancy Opal. James and Diana know her, and they had been introduced. She had caused an impression on him back then and certainly was causing a good one that moment. Mark opened a smile lost in her vision, though James's words resonated in his mind that moment, he shortly after forgot them when accidently she turned dancing in his direction and her enormous blue eyes met his hazel ones.
"Fuck..." Megan whispered as she set her eyes on Mark.
She too recognized him. Her heart skipped a beat a little at the realization of his presence and it was unlikely for her to remember a man that well twice. Megan was wearing tight push up white jeans, completely ragged from her knees up. Her long-muscled legs absolutely defined under the tight clothing. Her top was a shirt made of jeans, tied with a knot under her breasts, enhancing her voluptuous form. Her flat belly showing. On her feet a simple pair of Guess black sneakers. Megan was tanned from spending her days at the beach, which contrasted perfectly with her bleached hair and enhanced her eyes. Mark was again lost in the sight of that girl.
"I am going there..." He said to himself seeing her eyeing him now and then as she danced. After spotting him for the first time, her eyes could no longer leave that place.
