London...

It was pouring rain in London when they arrived in town. It was past midnight, but the airport was extremely busy. People coming back and forward pushing strollers, some leaving, some arriving just like James and Diana. They pushed their strollers amongst people crossing over from every side until they reached Heathrow's main door. They wrapped their scarf around their neck and zipped their coats. It was not only raining, it was cold. October was already cold especially at that time of the night. Diana shivered feeling her homeland's freezing gust blowing on her face and James chuckled.

"Not used to it anymore?" He asked as he adjusted his scarf better.

He certainly would never be able to get used to the cold. He loved warm weather, palm trees and beach zones. The sea was everything to him, though he could love nature in general. To be close to nature was a must to him.

"No..." She said with her voice muffled by the scarf that went up until her nose. "It's like 2 degrees already!" Diana exclaimed. While in San Francisco thy were still bathing in the sun, in London it seemed like cold winter already.

"Let's go grab a cab to your place." He said as they needed to cross to the other side of the street.

Due to arriving so late at night, they decided to spare her family and friends from driving that far away from downtown to pick them up. Diana and James crossed to the other side almost running and pushing their stroller fast. A small line was formed which pleased them thus they wouldn't have to wait for long. The rain tapping on the shed was so noisy that people had to talk loudly so they could be hear. The water on the road was accumulating instead of being fast drained. It was a cataclysm in London that night.

Though tired from the flight, they were still on San Francisco time, and in there it was still 4 pm. Their body was craving for some rest, but their brain was wide awake. Jet-leg was something very strange that affects your body in many different ways.

"Good evening!" The taxi driver with a nice tall hat greeted them and bowed at the same time. James smiled at all English manners. No other country could beat the English in politeness.

"Good evening." James responded helping the man putting their bags in the trunk. Then he joined Diana already sat on the back seat.

"Where to?" The man asked looking back over the glass protection that separated the driver from the passengers to avoid robbery and violence.

"Lancaster Road, number 20." Diana said. Then she smiled, she could not believe she was coming back to her house and with company.

Diana looked out to the streets sinking in every single image of her birthplace. Though being incredibly happy in San Francisco, London was her roots and despite the cold and rain, she was finding out she missed part of it too. Crossing Piccadilly Circus, she giggled all alone remembering the times she had sat there with Emma after some nights out clubbing, sometimes so drunk they didn't even remember how they got home. Oxford Street, her favorite place to go shopping though it can be so chaotic sometimes.

"Missing this?" James asked as he had been watching her for some time during their ride and she didn't turn her head once from the window, even if the streets were unbusy, dark and deserted due to the awful weather assaulting London that evening.

"A little..." She confessed. There she looked at him and shrugged. "Though I am missing Frisco already too... guess I am divided." She smiled. "It's home too."

"It's natural. You've built a life there even if it's been just a couple of months." James grabbed her hand in his as the cab turned right beginning to go up the road that was sided by Hyde Park. When the car stopped at the crossover for a red light, James set eyes on a house that cornered St. Michael street and he shivered. A long shiver.
