Diana was waiting for James to do the checkout, their suitcases by her side. A jacket on her hands, hanging on the front of her legs and she tapped her foot a little impatient. She was nervous she was going to get inside a plane again. Pam and Phil were outside already inside a cab ready to take them to the airport. She checked the time, it read 9.30 am. The flight was in three hours, so they'd still be there on time.
The beep of the elevator's door reaching the lobby made her turn her head to see who was coming out of it and nothing could disturbed her more that moment than acknowledging that Jack was the person reaching the same space she was at. A low grunt escaped her lips as she set eyes on him and she looked away from his direction quite fast, though she knew he had seen her doing so. She looked back at James who was tapping with his fingers impatiently on the counter while the receptionist tapped fast on the computer. A leg crossed over the other. Perfect shaped long legs delineated by his tight blue jeans. Perfect rear. Perfect arms all demarked in meaningful tattoos. Blond disheveled hair. She loved how he was so casual and still look incredibly good. He was a sight for her sore eyes. He was perfect and he was hers. Diana took a deep breath sinking his image in.
"Are you leaving?" Jack's voice made her wake up from her trance, much to her dismay. James vision was a lot better than any of the words he could tell her.
"Finally." She said dryly and barely looking at him.
Diana simply eyed him rapidly and then looked away before answering. Her eyes landed on her boyfriend again and she almost smiled at the sight of the hottest man in that space. He puffed a little out of patience. It was true, he was not the more patient person on Earth, but even that little detail of his personality was to die for. James was rebel to the bone. Every single pore of his skin yelled rebel. It was innate in him and she loved him that exact way.
"I am sorry, Di." Jack ended up saying.
There, Diana looked at him. "You are not sorry, Jack. Who do you think you're fooling?" She said shaking her head. "You made sure James and I had the most terrible time while we were here and now you say you are sorry... spare me." Then she looked away again with some despise in her eyes.
"I am sorry for you, not for him." He made it clear. Diana eyed him and shook her head again. Her lines forming a stronger semblance.
"You provoked him the whole time." Diana said with an ironic smirk on her lips. "Do you really think that what affects him doesn't affect me?"
"Come on, Di..." Jack said. "It cannot be that strong. You barely know him. You've known him for a couple of months..."
"It doesn't matter for how long I have known him. You and my father should stay put." She hissed getting visibly nervous. "I know this was a plan. You should be so ashamed of yourself."
"I love you! He exclaimed speaking low. "I came here because I love you!"
"Get out of my sight, Jack." Diana said looking coldly in his green eyes. "I despise you at the moment. James spent the whole afternoon and part of the night in the police station because of you."
Jack grunted not believing her words. "He broke my nose!" He said pointing at his nose and trying for her to be sympathetic with him.
"You provoked him. You knew he was going to lose it and you used me to do so. That is so low..." Diana narrowed her eyes at him. "You don't even respect me!"
"I am coming back to London tomorrow." Jack told her somehow expecting for a miracle.
She looked in his eyes once again. "You should have never left London in the first place." Diana saw James coming in their direction and her heart began to race a little not sure about how he would react.
