i thought about him for a long time.

sounds cheesy, but he's unlike anyone who's ever been interested in me.

pedestal.
the pedestal that i put interests upon
seems to be more than they can fulfill.
it's always like this.

conjure it up.
a wisp of perfection
washing away what his being exemplifies.

instead of magnificent musical numbers,
tap dancing in the rain,
or showing me off to the public,
he exists.

he exists how he wishes to.

although his words are crisp and harsh,
it knocks the image of perfection off of
the podium novels installed within me.

and he clumsily whisks himself on there
instead.

it's refreshing to meet someone like that.
