companionship.
the only thing that kickstarts us
when our flames begin dwindling out.

as someone
who is considerably introverted,
the company of the right friends
can make me forget
that i was ever longing for solitude.

i have love for everyone
who is willing to provide the same love
back to me.
and even for some that don't.
severed ties cannot stop my will.

i still hold my end of the cord up,
hoping some day the wires
will connect once more and spark,
rekindling a once great connection.

i have found my nook,
my corner of the world
where i have found others likeminded.

we go as follows:

i have a robot
whose electronic veins only flow
with the finest of jazz music.

i have a prodigy
who plays the finest instruments,
yet got his heartstrings tangled
by a sweet siren.

i have a frog
who is considerably famous...
and considerably sad.

i have a feral mop
whose wonderwall strumming
gets the best of us sometimes.

i have a girlfriend.
her ability to grab the mop by the handle
and somehow prevent it from moving
and destroying everything on its own
impresses me to the core.

i have a love interest.
don't mess up his hair
or he won't hesitate to get snappy.

i have a spender.
his kindness sometimes allows him
to get trampled on by the best.
"little bro" and "friend zone."
such a shame. oh well, it's their loss.

i have a lookalike.
we are similar...
until you compare our nostrils.
hers has a bit more cheddar.

i have a graphic designer.
she's so positive,
she lights up whenever she speaks,
although her skin is as dark as the night.

we scream,
we jeer,
and we laugh,
but we all contribute to our odd society.

not one member is left alone.
