Three hours.
Tall buildings surrounding,
I grip his hand
As we browse through the shops.

What a perfect place to remember.
Less seeking for items,
More seeking for time.

His arms are a guard,
Protectively wrapped around some part of my body,
Gripping tightly as if I were going to slip away.

Two hours.
"In we go!"

Another store holds another adventure.
The smell of pricey perfume hits his nose.
He immediately dives for some clothing
To inspect the general prices of items.

He holds an orange hoodie up,
Curiously questioning me
Asking if the garment is "his color."

One hour.
Though his smile wavers occasionally,
His energy sticks around,
The unseen force drowning me in giddy elation.

A red, bedazzled hair clip catches his eye.
He nestles it into my chocolate brown hair.
I march to the counter and purchase it.

Walking out,
He halfheartedly chuckles,
Wishing he could grant us
Another portion of forever.

His eyes are like my mirror.
I could always see myself in them
Because he'd always be looking at me.

Ten.
"I love you."

Nine.
"I love you too."

Eight.
"Today was perfect."

Seven.
"We should come here again."

Six.
"I can't afford anything here."

Five.
"We'll be able to. One day."

Four.
"We'll see about that."

Three.
"My parents are waiting."

Two.
"Until next time, love."

One.
"Until next time."

Zero.
