Chapter 8: Versus Lullaby

We see Lullaby charge some sort of attack in its mouth and shoot at the a mountain far away. I use my forearm to shield my eyes from the light. Its eyes bright up purple. Lullaby lets out a loud roar, hurting my eyes. A magic seal appears at their mouth.

"Ready?" Erza asks. We all charge at it. I jump and slash at its side 3 times. Erza attacks. Followed by Gray then Natsu. I use a huge rock to jump higher and once I'm above it, I stab my sword onto its head. Quickly, I remove it and jump back down onto the ground. Lullaby roars again and it seems like he's sucking the life out of all the plants around us.

It gets ready to charge its song. When it does though, a simply wheeze comes out. "Why can't I play my song?!" Lullaby asks. I take a good look at their body and see that all our attacks created holes in its body.

I sweat dropped. I expected more of a challenge if I'm honest. It starts kicking the mountains around us and knocking them down. Lullaby shoots an attack of fire and Gray makes an ice shield to protect from the attack that might hit the guild masters nearby. Natsu is quick to suck it up.

They continue shooting attacks at Lullaby and I wait. "Y/N! Now!" Erza yells. I nod and cup my hands together. I close my eyes and I get down onto my knees and a huge yellow magic shield appears beneath me.

3rd p.o.v

"Y/N! S-She's using magic!" Lucy exclaims. Happy didn't have anything to explain that. Neither did any of the masters. All watched with their jaw drops as the Fairy Tail wizards deal with a demon by Zeref. They're even more amazed by the intense magic power.

"Here I go..." Y/N says quietly to herself. Y/N opens her eyes and places her hands up in the sky. "Nagareboshi!" Huge rays of yellow light shoot from the sky and Lullaby takes a direct hit. They keep shooting down and Lullaby isn't able to go anywhere.

It screams out in pain and Y/N grunts as she feels everything being sucked from her. Even Gray and Erza are amazed. They've never seen Y/N's magic before. This is the first time anyone was seeing... the Magic of the Stars.
Slowly, Lullaby starts shrinking. When Y/N's attack stops, it reveals Lullaby as a flute again.
Apart from the beautiful sight of shooting stars, the magic energy was off the charts.

Natsu runs to Y/N's side as she falls over. He grabs her bridal style and Y/N weakly smiles at Natsu. Lucy, Happy, and Master run over, going to congratulate the four of them.

"I think we went a little overboard." Y/N points weakly over. All jaws fall to the ground and they see a huge crater in the ground. The whole land has been destroyed. Y/N laughs as Master zones out and Erza tries apologising.

Y/N pats Natsu's back and he lets her down. She walks over to the flute and bends down to grab it. "No more evil doing for you... Lullaby." Y/N throws the flute into the air.

"Wh-What are you doing?" The flute panics.

"Sealing you away. Sealing away the darkness." Y/N responds. A smaller and singular ray of light shoots down and hits the flute as it's floating in the air. When the magic disappears, it reveals that Lullaby is now trapped in some sort of yellow sphere. Y/N catches it before it hits the ground.

"I can take that for you." Master Bob says as he walks to Y/N. Y/N hands the Lullaby to the Master Bob and she turns around to her guildmates. They all have smiles on their faces. Y/N smiles back and gives them a thumbs up.

Just then she feels herself being lifted up. "Back to the guild!" Natsu yells as he holds Y/N on his back. Y/N laughs as they all start running away from the mess they created. All the members run behind the two.
