Chapter 66: Laxus vs Alexei | Day Three

a/n: since i made two chapter for day three, i'm gonna try and not mention the game. if i do mention it, i'm gonna try and not mention if you were 1st or 2nd place :)

btw since all of fairy tail b is matching with black, the image up top is your outfit ^ (it's a dress cause both juvia and mira also have dresses)

"Let's take a look at the current standings in the Grand Magic Games!"

First place was still Raven Tail. 2nd place was Lamia Scale. Sabertooth fell to 3rd. Mermaid Heel was 4th. Both Fairy Tail teams were after. The last two places were Blue Pegasus and Quatro Puppy.

"It's now time for the battle segment of Day 3 of the Grand Magic Games!"

"These battle are going to be great!"

"Match 1 pits Mermaid Heel's Millianna versus Quatro Puppy's Semus!"

The match begins and I cheer on for Millianna. The Quatro Puppy guy does a spinning attack. Millianna tries restraining him, but it bounces off and he hits her. She then uses her kitten blast which clashes with the guy, but only makes it faster. The match didn't last long and Millianan used her magic to restrain him and cause him to trip.

"Seumus can no longer fight! Millianna wins!"

"I wanna battle!" I say.

"After your performance today, I think it's best if you don't." Mira says and points at my body. I was covered in bandages.

"That battle was interesting!"

"Magic can be used in all sorts of ways, I see. Most educational."

Looks like Millianna has really improved.

"Next up in the battle segment is Sabertooth's minstrel who sings to the red moon, Rufus Lore versus Blue Pegasus' "Holy Night" Eve Tilm! After clashing during Day 1's contest, these two collide again in Day 3!"

The game starts and Eve releases some of his snow magic. It goes right through Rufus. "That is but a prior memory of me." Rufus behind Eve. "I've already had a taste of your techniques during the Hidden event! I've memorized them all!" Eve says and starts running to Rufus.

"You're memorized them, have you?" Rufus then turns into Ichiya in a tub. Eve halts, "Sensei! What are you doing here?!"

"That's a part of your memory." Rufus appears behind Eve and struck him down. As Eve is on the floor, Rufus casts the same spell from day one. Night of Shooting Stars. It hits Eve directly. Eve then explodes into snow and turns out it was just a copy.

Eve was behind Rufus. "White Blizzard!" This helped Eve determine where Rufus really was. "There!" Eve points his hand in a direction. "White Fang!" Rufus jumps up to dodge the attack.

Rufus lands, "I've already memorized that spell. Memory Make," He places his fingers on his temples.

The sky starts turning red and it starts getting warm. I sense an incredible surge of magic power. Multiple pillars of of fire erupt from the ground around Eve. "Karma of the Scorching Earth!" It burns Eve and sends him flying. Eve falls.

"The match is over! Eve fought valiantly against the formidable Rufus, but is defeated!"

"Memory Make... I've heard about that magic before." I say. "It's ancient magic. Lost magic."

a/n: i can't believe gray was so mad that rufus had maker magic.... "iT's mY jOB tO bEAt hiM."

"Time for the next battle! Fairy Tail B's Laxus Dreyar versus Raven Tail's Alexei!"

"Let's go Laxus!" I cheer. 

"Ain't nothin to worry about." Gajeel says. 

"This is Laxus we're talking about." Mira says. 

"But Juvia somehow has a bad feeling about this..." Juvia says. 

"This is the first battle between the father-and-song guilds since day 1, Mr. Yajima!"

"Mm."

"We all do, I mean, they cheated against Lucy. Laxus can handle himself and I'm sure the other Fairy Tail members are keeping a close eye on the guild." I assure her. The gong is hit. The crowd cheers. 

As Laxus is talking, Alexei runs up to Laxus and swings at him. Laxus skids back and Alexei kicks him before releasing some magic. "Laxus is getting beat up?!" I say in surprise as Laxus looks powerless. 

It was shocking to see Laxus get beat up. I look at Ivan and then at the Raven Tail booth and see them not moving at all. As Alexei holds Laxus by his neck, Laxus swings his fist and sends Alexei back and crashing into the wall. 

"Go Laxus!" I yell. 

"Oh, my! Has Laxus begun his counterattack?!"

Laxus charges forward and starts swinging his fist at him. "Yep, he's okay." Gajeel says and Laxus releases a strong roar of lightning. I guess they really aren't going to pull anything. Alexei releases a dark magic ray and sends Laxus back. 

He grabs Laxus by his collar and punches him back. I don't sense any energy from the Alexei at all. "Something's not quite right..." Mira says as she places her hand on her chin. "Maybe he's conflicted?" Juvia wonders. 

"No. He wouldn't be." I say. 

I look at the Fairy Tail stands and see master raising his index finger into the air. The battle lasts a while longer before a dark purple appeared around the arena and shattered. It reveals all five members of Raven Tail on the ground and Laxus still standing.

"Wh-What in the world...?!"

"Illusion magic." I say. The pumpkin walks out into the arena and walks towards Ivan. I look at the Raven Tail booth and see them all disappear. They were projections. 

"Alexei was actually Master Iva, kabo!" The pumpkin announces. 

"The battle between Laxus and Alexei was just an illusion?! Laxus remains standing! The match is over!"

We cheer for Laxus as he's declared the winner. He took down all of Raven Tail by himself. Knights come down and start taking the 5 members. They were officially disqualified and banned from the games for 3 years. 

"Now then! Let's put that disappointing battle behind us and move on to the fourth and final match of the day, kabo!" The pumpkin says. 

"Fairy Tail A's Wendy Marvel versus Lamia Scale's Cheria Blendi!"

The host was way too excited for this match. The two enter the field of battle. When running out, Cheria trips. After Cheria trips and falls, Wendy does the same right after which causes the whole arena to burst out into laughs and giggles. 

"We have a real adorable match about to happen!  I'm rooting for both of you gals! Woot!"

I felt this weird and dark magic. Similar to the one I felt on Tenrou with Zeref. Was it Cheria?
