Chapter 2: Fairy Tail

"Erza!" I call as Erza walks ahead of me since I stopped to look at something. She comes back to me and I point at a magazine stand. She looks and at the magazine stand is a magazine with the same emblem that Grandpa Rob had.

"That emblem! That's where we're headed!" Erza says. I nod and walks up to the stand. I stand on my tippy toes so the man can see me. "Excuse me!" I say in my tiny voice. The man behind the stand looks at me. I point to the magazine, "Where is that?" I ask. He takes the magazine I'm looking at.

"Fairy Tail? Everyone knows where that is. Magnolia. Head to Magnolia and you could find it there." He tells me. I smile at him and get off my tippy toes. I walk back to Erza and tell her what he told me.

"Hey!" He yells. I look back and he's waving me over. I walk back to the stand and he slides jewels on the table and over to me. "Looks like you need some help. All the earnings I've gotten today... take it." He insist.

I stare at him and slide them back, "No sir!" He just slides them back to me, "It looks like you need it more." He winks. He gets a little sac from underneath the table cloth and places the jewels inside before handing it to me.

"You're kind. Thank you." I smile before going back to Erza with the sac of jewels.

"Here!" I cheer as we're in front of the Fairy Tail guild. Took us weeks, but at last. We were here. Erza places her hand on the door and pushes them open. All eyes turn to us. I felt a bit uncomfortable. They were judging us. I felt it. By the way they looked us.

I would be judging us too. Erza and I were still in our torn up clothes from the Tower of Heaven. She had an eyepatch over her hurt eye and most of our bodies were cut, bruised, burnt, etc.

"Looking for something?" A girl with brown hair walks up to Erza and I. I nod and tell her, "Your master? We came to join!" She smiles and takes both our hands, leading us somewhere.

Once we're in front of a door, she knocks and the door opens. I'm a bit shocked when I realise the Master is the same height as me. "Cana-Oh? New faces?" The Master looks at Erza and I.

"If we could... maybe talk alone?" Erza asks the little girl. The girl, Cana, walks away and the master invites us into his office. Erza does most of the talking. She explains everything that happened in the Tower of Heaven and Grandpa Bob. That's when he asks, "And what magic do you use?"

For the weeks or months that we spent searching for this guild, we also trained. Erza learned to fight with swords and plans on learning requip. While I study my magic, I decided to learn more hand to hand combat stuff. Although I also learned to fight with a sword like Erza.

Erza explains my magic and hers. She didn't tell the master the whole story about my magic. She just explained that it was a lost magic and that not much is known about it. I think master knew I wanted it to be a secret. He didn't ask anything else.

"You're in!" He opens his drawer and pulls out a small little stamp thing, "Where and what color?" He asks. Erza points to her shoulder and in blue. I thought for a second before pointing at my shoulder.

"Here and in (f/c)." I say. Master hands the stamper to Erza since she was closer and she placed the guild mark on me. She leaves it on my shoulder for a second before removing it. It reveals a (f/c) Fairy Tail emblem. I stare at it. I'll continue training, use my magic for good, get rid of all the evil... for Grandpa Rob.

The person I grew closest to after joining was Gray. Of course, Erza would always be my best friend. He tried teaching me ice make magic after I told him I don't know any magic.

Erza and I also lived in 'Fairy Hills.' No rent until her and I were both old enough. The next few years, I took jobs and moved out. I mastered in sword fighting and hand to hand combat.

Over the years, more people our age joined the guild. I managed to get close to everyone. The Strauss siblings, Cana, Levy, and Natsu. I loved the guild and the bond everyone had.

"Y/N! Fight me!" Natsu says. I put down my drink of chocolate milk and stand up from my seat.

"I wouldn't do that Natsu... if you hurt her then Erza will come and kill you." Gray warns.

"After I take down Y/N then I'll take down Erza too" Natsu says as us and the other teens head outside for more space. Plus Master said if we damaged anything in the guild, we'd have to pay for it.

"I'm taking bets!" Cana yells. The all start running to her and giving her jewels. She would write a tally mark under the names everytime someone bet on us.

"I've never seen Y/N's magic. Natsu is good at both hand to hand combat and magic, so I'm betting on him." A tiny Droy says.

"Ready?" Mira asks both of us. Natsu and I both nod. "Go!" Mira yells and back away quickly. Natsu charges at me and I stay still. When his fist of fire is about to collide with my face, I swiftly stepped aside and he goes in for another punch. I duck down to dodge it. Then I jump back away from Natsu.

"You know dodging my attack isn't going to do anything! You have to actually fight!" Natsu yells at me. I nod and pull out my unsheathed sword from my side. "Dodge this! Fire Dragon's: Roar!" The flames come out me and I wait until the perfect time.

When the smoke clears, it reveals to everyone that I cut through the attack. "Ready?" I ask Natsu, who nods and gets back into a fighting position. I lunge at Natsu and with incredible speed, I jump into the air and I strike my unsheathed sword. It causes a lot of damage, sending everyone, including Natsu, flying back. The impact it had when it hit Natsu, damaged most of our surroundings.

When the dust and smoke clears, Natsu is revealed unconscious. "Good job, Y/N!" Gray cheers and he runs up to me. He lifts me from behind and shakes me around. "I won! I won!" Gray blows raspberries at everyone who betted at Natsu. Lisanna comes and helps Natsu sit up.

"You're strong. One day I'll beat you." Natsu coughs up as Gray sets me down. I smile at Natsu, "Fight me again when we're older." Natsu gives me a thumbs up.
