Chapter 9: Changeling

"Lucy! How about another job?" Natsu offers Lucy and shows Lucy a job request that offers a lot of money. Lucy notices in the corner that the job request has a stamped S on it.

"What does that mean?" Lucy asks and she points at it.

"It's from the second floor." Natsu smirks mischievously.

"I thought we weren't allowed to go up there!" Lucy exclaims.

Natsu shrugs and explains, "We're not allowed. If you're an S-Class wizard then you can." And on cue, Happy is seen flying up to Lucy's bedroom window. He was carrying a sleeping and tied up Y/N.

"You're kidnapping her?!" Lucy shouts.

Natsu shakes his head, "Just borrowing her. We'll tell Master that Y/N asked us to tag along, so we don't get in trouble!"

"I hope Master's punishment is terrible." Natsu hears Y/N growls under her breath as they get closer and closer to the guild hall.

"Why do you want us to suffer?" Natsu cries.

"Because you kidnapped me!" Y/N spits back. They keep walking in silence. When they reach, Erza pushes the doors open and asks, "Is Master Makarov here?"

"You're finally back from your island getaway! So how was it? Did you have fun?" Mira asks the six.

"It was work. Not a vacation." Erza clarifies. "Where is Makarov?" She asks again.

Macao answers, "He went out of town for some kind of last minute council meeting. He's been gone since yesterday." Natsu, Gray, Happy, and Lucy all sigh in relief. They start to comment and panic.

Erza yells over her shoulder, "All of you shut up!"

"I imagine the master would come back anytime now." Mira says.

"Listen up, you fools! You broke guild rules by taking on the S-Class quest. Prepare to be punished!" Erza turns around to tell then. Natsu, Happy, and Gray holding onto each other tightly while Lucy shrieks from the side.

"Well nice knowing you!" Wakaba says and mumbles under his breath, "It's a crying shame. Those two boys are one thing, but I can't believe Lucy is getting punished. Oh you poor girl."

Natsu and Gray get upset because Wakaba shows no sympathy towards them. They end up arguing with each other.

Erza and I made it clear that no one was to leave the guild hall until Master Makarov returns and punishes them. As we wait, I have a piece of cake at the bar. I hear Natsu and Gray discussing work and something about a job. Loke then chimes in, but freaks out when Lucy comes around.

As Loke's about to run, he crashes into Erza, who's walking to scold Gray and Natsu for taking another job. It causes him to go unconscious.

"No way! You will not be taking any request!" Erza yells at them. As they're around a table looking at a weird job request, I grow curious and walk over to them. I make sure to not step on Loke. I squeeze myself between Gray and Lucy.

I look at the request and see it does look kind of creepy. It's a bit weird though. Just a translation job? "I can read that!" Natsu says and reads out loud what the request says. For a second, nothing happens. Then a rainbow glow starts to blind me.

When it fades, I just keep staring blankly at the table. I was just confused. Zoned out. "S-So cold." I hear Gray said in a higher voice. I'm about to say something to him, but when I turn to my left, I see myself.
