Chapter 12: 15 Minutes

I sit in the basement and the sight of everyone injured makes me feel like shit. They're aggravated and are planning to strike back again. Gray notices me in a downy mood and assures me, "Don't worry. We'll get them back for this."

I sigh, "I know. I'm not worried about that. It's just... all my fault."

"Being targeted by people is just the downside of having super magic. Least you're protected by a real man like me." Elfman said.

"Would you give it a rest already?!" Gray yells at Elfman. I actually felt better by Elfman's little joke. I smile at Gray to assure him that Elfman didn't offend me or anything.

"I was shocked when I heard the news. Why did you hide it from us, Y/N?" Happy asks. Elfman, Gray, Natsu, and Happy all have their attention on me.

"I didn't want to hide anything. My parents told me that no one should know. Look, Akio seemed so trust worthy and look what happened. He turned on me and now he's hurting my friends. Who knows who else I might hurt because of my magic? I'll find Akio and deal with him myself. Give him whatever he wants, so he can leave Fairy Tail alone." I answer.

"I think this is the first time I've heard you give up Y/N. I don't like it. I like when you're in the fighting back and hopeful mood. And whatever Akio throws our way, we'll be able to handle it. You said you wanted to stay with us... so why go to Akio and let him take you from us?" Natsu chimes in and adds, "Who cares about your stupid magic? To us, you're just Y/N Fernandes of Fairy Tail. A regular wizard like the rest of us."

Tears gather in my eyes and they start to stream all down my face.

"Don't cry, you big baby." Gray smiles at me.

"Yes please! Real men are weak to womanly tears." Elfman says, on the verge of crying too. I laugh and wipe the tears, apologising for crying so much. The ground then starts to shake.

Alzack runs down the basement and yells one word, "Outside!" I jump off the barrel I was sitting on and run out. We all stand outside the back of the guild and see Phantom's guild hall coming to us? Like a spider. They're doing all this to get me?

A wall of the guild moves and a canon came out of it and started charging up. "Everyone! Run' Get out of here!" Erza yells at us. I just stare at the canon and watch as it charges up. Erza runs forward and requips.

"What are you doing?!" Loke asks.

"Protecting the guild hall." She answers as she requips into her Adamantine armor. Everyone shouts at Erza as she stands there, waiting for the attack to hit. I felt frozen.

"Erza!" Both Natsu and I shout. Before I could run to her, I feel a pair of arms wrap around me. Gray. While Elfman is holding Natsu back.

"Let me go! I can't lose her!" I yell at Gray and trying escaping from his arms.

"You can't stop her! You just have to have faith in her!" Gray yells at me. It then shoots and Erza actives her powerful shield. Tears come to eyes again as I watch Erza protect us from the canon.

"Please! Gray!" I cry, but his grip just gets tighter. He holds tight onto me and I have no other choice, but to close my eyes. I feel the immense power and I hear Erza's shield cracking little by little. I open my eyes and see Erza crash onto the ground, her armor not on her anymore. I stomp on Gray's foot and he lets me go. I run over to her and place her head on my thighs as I get on my eyes.

"Erza! Please me okay..." Tears stream down my face and land on hers. Natsu runs over.

"Makarov has fallen and now Erza can't stand. Any chance of victory has slipped your finger. Surrender Y/N Fernandes immediately. You have no choice." Master Jose announces through some speakers inside their guild. The guild mates shout back, defending me.

"I won't ask again!" Master Jose says.

"We would never betray her like that! You'd have to kill us first!" Erza sits up and yells back, smashing her fist onto the ground. All members yell, "Yeah!"

"You can stop asking now because we're not giving you any other answer! WE'RE TAKING EVERY ONE OF YOUR JERKS DOWN!" Natsu shouts.

Master Jose announces that unless I turn myself in, they will shoot Jupiter again in the next 15 minutes. I look at Erza and see she's fallen unconscious. She's the reason we're still here.

Phantom like creatures then come out from the guild and start making their way towards us. He keeps making threats. And those things... they're actual Phantom soldiers. I see Natsu, Happy, Elfman, and Gray go and make their way inside the guild. As I'm about to run in too, Mira grabs my hand.

"Come with me." She instructs and takes me back to the front of the guild. Reedus is here. "Y/N, we're taking you to the hideout. Stay there until this passes." I pull my hand away from Mira.

I refuse, "No. They're fighting for me, I should fight alongside them. Fight to save myself. Fight to get them back for all the friends they're hurt. It's my fault and I can't run from all this."

"It's not your fault! I don't see it like that and neither does anyone else. And you should know that we're not just fighting for you. We're fighting for the guild. We're proud to fight this battle. Please... Y/N. Erza told me to protect you." Mira places her hand in my face. Before I could do anything, she put me to sleep.

I open my eyes and Reedus hovering over me. I don't why I got so freaked out and kicked him. I look around and see I'm at the hideout that Mira was talking about. Reedus begins to explain everything and asked for me to sit on a crate for him to paint me. I do so.

"I want to fight..." I say quietly.

"Miss Erza is the one that ordered for you to be brought here."

"Reedus, don't you see? They're fighting for our guild and I'm not out there to help. Laxus and Mystogan aren't here, Erza is injured, and Master is hurt. I have to step in." I say.

"I cannot allow that. Both Mira and Erza gave me strict orders to keep you here." Reedus says calmly. As I'm about to argue back, the place starts to shake. I look at the steel doors and see them being kicked or hit. Someone's trying to come in. I reach for my sword, but touch nothing.

Oh yeah.

I dropped it when I was with the Element 4. Now I'll have to relay on hand to hand combat. Reedus steps in front of me, ready to protect.

"Are you okay?!" I run over to Reedus and place my hand on his back as he bends over. Three of the Phantom Lord wizards are here to get me and they're tough. No magic. No sword. I'm useless in this situation.

"Just give it up." The female spits. I grit my teeth together.

"Y/N... run while you still can. Please. For the guild." Reedus begs.

"I can't leave you." I tell him. The wizards mock the moment. Reedus sends another attack, but the girl mirrors it right back to us. I can't leave him. Maybe by leaving, they'll follow me and leave him alone. I turn around and start running, but I'm stopped when Gajeel kicks my side, sending me to crash into my crates and boxes.

"Leaving fatty to take the fall? That's not nice." He smirks. I place my hand on my side and slowly stand.

"I expected you to be more of challenge. You are Fairy Tail's strongest female wizard. But man, I'm just disappointed." Gajeel continues.

I look over at Reedus and see him not doing so food. I clench my fist and get in a fighting position. "For hurting my friends, I'll take you all out on my own!" I declare. Gajeel chuckles and charges at me with his fist.

When he's about to punch me, I grab his fist tightly and knee his stomach. Then I give him a hard kick and send him back.

"Maybe I'll take it back. Maybe you will be a challenge." Gajeel wipes a bit of blood from the corner of his mouth. He charged again, but he was too fast. Before I could react or dodge, he strikes me with a hard kick to the stomach with his large steel club. He follows with a hard back hand slap across the face.

I hear ringing in my ears and fall unconscious.
