Chapter 23: Thunder Palace

I charge at the girl and with one slash, she's out. I bend over and catch my breath. The enchantment goes away and I continue walking. As I'm walking, I look up at a rooftop when I sense something. I jump back just in time as light explosives are thrown at me.

I look up and see Evergreen. "My my look who've stumbled upon. Y/N. Queen of the Night." She smirks. I jump onto a barrel behind me and use it to boost myself up onto the roof that Evergreen is on. I take out my sword, unsheathed and slash at her.

"You're known around for using an unsheathed sword in most battle." Evergreen points out. I furrow my eyebrows and charge at her. Every slash and slice, she manages to dodge. I charge at her again and Evergreen lowers her glasses. I quickly close my eyes and stop my attack.

"Hm can't fight me if you can't see me." I hear her say. Next thing, she releases the same light explosive attack me and I can't dodge it. I take it head on and place my hands over my face, covering myself from it. Evergreen continues shooting her fairy machine at me and all I can do is stand here and let her. If I open my eyes, I'll turn to stone.

All I have to do is make Evergreen close her eyes. I smirk and lift my sword up to a sky. It starts to glow. "Sirius!" I shout. A light from my sword shoots into a sky and explodes like a firework. It blinds everyone around except me. I hear Evergreen scream. I open my eyes and run at her, spinning kicking her in the face. She goes back and crashes into a nearby building. I throw my sword and it stabs one inch away from her face.

I go to her as she unable to move. The light calm down and Evergreen looks so worn out. I grab her arms and pin them above her. "Everything aside, you're a member of Fairy Tail. I promise to not harm you any more unless you change the girls back at once." I offer.

"You're a bit naive aren't you? My stone eyes grant me another ability as well... Remote control." She says. I release her arms.

"Drop to your need and bow before me. If you refuse, I'll shatter all your precious statues!" She threatens. I drop my sword and step back. She smirks, thinking she's won already. I concentrate on my magic and 100 swords made out of light appear around me.

"I'm impressed, Evergreen. If they must be shattered then I'll have no other choice, but to collect your soul in retribution for their demise," She lets out a high pitched scream and I walk up to her. I punch her face, "If you're going to bluff then do it right."

"Alright... you win." She sighs. Evergreen turns to the statues back to normal and she even tells me Laxus' location. When I jump down the building, I meet Erza. She explains as fast as possible on how she got back to normal before the rest. I tell her Laxus' location.

"Where are you going?" She asks as I head in a separate direction from her. I tell her, "To find the other two!" Before I start running to find Bickslow and Freed. As I'm running, I notice something in the sky. Spheres with a symbol of lightning inside.

My eyes widen as I know what they are.

The Thunder Palace.

Laxus needed new hostages after the girls were turned back, so he decided to active the Thunder Palace? Coward. I'm running out of time. My walk turns into a full on sprint. As I'm running, I stop when I see and hear an explosion. Mira. I continue running.

As I'm running, I stop once again when I hear another explosion. The Cathedral. I start making my way there. When I make it, I peek my head in to see Mystogan and Laxus fighting. After I appear, Erza and Natsu make it a second after. We all say hi to each other and look back at the two mages in front of us.

"You're wide open!" Laxus shouts and sends a lightning attack towards Mystogan. It strikes his face and my eyes widen and gather tears when I see his hair. I recognise that spiked blue hair. He turns around and it's him. It's Jellal. He looks at me then Erza.

"Forgive me, Erza. I didn't wish for you to see this. I'm not your friend Jellal. I know of him, but I'm not him," He turns to me, "I'm sorry... N/N." He turns back to face Laxus and says, "I'm sorry, but I must be going." He disappears.

I'm sobbing and shaking uncontrollably. Laxus takes the opportunity of Erza and I blanking out and strikes us with a powerful attack. I go flying and quickly pick myself back up. I'll focus on this Jellal thing later. I place my hand on my sword and take it out. Laxus and Natsu are going at it. Laxus steps on Natsu's head and kicks him far. Natsu lands on his face.

I look at Laxus and charge at him. He barely manages to dodge the swing of my sword. It goes on like this for a while. I slice fast, but Laxus is only a tad bit faster. I hear Erza shout, "Requip!" And she goes and swings on him too. Even with Erza and I together, it seemed like he had the upper hand.

Erza goes for a kick on his face and he grabs her foot, shocking her with his lightning. She goes back and requips to her lightning empress armor. I stab my sword into ground and a linear explosion goes to him. I thought I hit him until I look up and see he jumped.

"You have so much magic and you choose to fight with a sword?!" Laxus asks me. I go to him and try to hit him again. He manages to catch the sword in between his hands. He takes it away and throws it across the room.

"Would you two just leave already?! I said I wanted to fight him!" Natsu whines. Erza and I look at each other, back at him, then back at each other. We smile and nod before turning to Natsu. "Fairy Tail is putting their faith in you." Erza tells him before running out the church. Natsu looks determined. When Natsu wants something, he'll get it. He wants this victory. And he'll get it. I nod at him before following Erza.
