Chapter 19: Siegrain

I push Jellal off as I realise I'm still alive. I look around and see the whole place has turned into lacrima. Jellal stands and laughs. "Y/N!" I hear my name being shout. I look at the direction it was called and see Erza. She's still here? It takes me a while to realise that Jellal was using the etherion blast had enough magic power to start the R-System.

That was his plan.

"This is the true form of the Tower of Heaven. Lacrima crystal." He says. Erza runs to my side. I stand up and look at Jellal. He lied to me. "You lied to me." I say through gritted teeth.

"You expression was priceless." I hear someone say. Both Erza and I turn around to see another Jellal. Siegrain. He walks to stand next to Jellal. Erza starts to yell at Siegrain about how he didn't care about Jellal or me. Siegrain in response, tells Erza about the time they met and how he confused him with his twin, Jellal.

"The two of you have been conspiring this whole time?" Erza asks.

"Erza... Jellal doesn't have a twin." I tell her. Erza never told me about running into Siegrain. I would've told her sooner that Jellal never had a twin.

"We're two faces of the same person and we have been from the start." Both Jellal's say as the fuse together.

"How is that possible? He was a projection?" Erza questions.

"I'm surprised my little sister never snitched on me like she used to back then." Jellal turns to me.

"I was thinking about it. Doing it though would do more harm than good. As kids you got away with anything. All you had to do with sweet talk or find a way to blame it on me. And if I had told the council, you would've hurt Sho." I tell Jellal.

"Magic energy... I feel it surging through all of my body." Jellal says as he clenches his fist. With one flick, he sends Erza flying back. I run up to Jellal, my fist engulfed in light. Before I could hit, I grabbed my fist and kneed me in the stomach. Then he throws me aside.

"Cmon Erza. Don't tell me you used all your magic energy fight Ikaruga." Jellal says. Erza requips two sword and charges at him. He manages to dodge every slash. While she has his distracted, I run over to my sword and pick it up. I charge at him as well.

"The Magic Council should have fallen by now. I can't tell you how much of a blessing Ultear has been. She does not fear death because she believes all mankind will become one in Heaven." Jellal says.

"Curse you!" Erza yells and goes at him again as he lands on top of a lacrima. As Erza's charging, something starts to wrap around him arm. I get all stiff. "What's happening?!" I ask as I start feeling sore and feeling an immense amount of pain.

Erza stops attacking, "What are you doing to her?!"

"It's just a bind snake. I slipped onto her during out heartwarming embrace." Jellal explains. With one swing to the face, he knocks out Erza. I scream out in pain and frustration.

"Now that we've collected all the magic energy, you come in. Your flesh will break down and form into Zeref's body. I'll bring back Zeref and kill the one person that could kill him." He tells me. A lacrima grows behind me and Jellal pushes me inside. I can't move.

"Y'know I will miss you, N/N. And to Erza," He turns to Erza who's lying unconscious on the floor, "I once loved her too."

Jellal turns around and begins to chant, "O great and powerful Zeref. I call upon you to offer you this woman's flesh."

"Jellal! Please!" I beg as I sink deeper and deeper into the lacrima. Just as I give up on begging, I see Natsu. He wraps his arms around me and assures me, "I got you." As he pulls me out.

"Although you're her brother, Y/N is apart of our Fairy Tail family now. I won't let you touch her or Erza." Natsu tells Jellal. He sets me down gently.

"Jeez Y/N. What are you doing hanging around with this loser? If we don't hurry and get back to work, you and Lucy won't be able to pay the rent. And trust me, Lucy's top priority in life is paying that rent." Natsu tries enlightening the mood.

"Sorry, but I can't move." I say quietly. Natsu smirks and places his hand on stomach.... then he starts tickling me.

"This is payback for all the times you messed with me!" He says.

I laugh and cry at the same time. I manage to say, "Natsu! Stop! This is a serious moment!" And he does stop. I get serious again, "You have to go. Take Erza. It's too dangerous."

"I'm not leaving you. If you can't fight then I'll fight for you." Natsu says.

"Natsu... he's too strong." A tear falls from my eye. Natsu stands up and helps me stand up too.

"You're strong too. And I can take you down." He punches me in the stomach, knocking me unconscious.

Natsu looks at Erza on the floor and back at Y/N. "What pleasure do you get from knocking out a defenceless friend?" Jellal asks.

"She was crying. She looked so fragile and weak. Her voice was trembling," Natsu starts as his body starts getting covered in flames, "I hate seeing Y/N like that. I don't want to see another tear fall from her eyes. She's supposed to be strong. When she wakes up from this nightmare, I want her to return to her normal hopeful self again."

Natsu turns to Jellal with veins popping all over his face, "If you wanna get to Y/N, you'll have to go through me."

Jellal smirks, "Is that a challenge? My interest has peaked. I would love to witness the power of a dragon slayer." Natsu charges at Jellal. As the two fight and fight, Erza opens her eyes.
