Chapter 43: All Alone

"Unbelievable." Erza whispers as her and Juvia run to find the others. Well, Erza was more concerned about Y/n. "Zeref is alive and on this island?!" Erza says in disbelief.

"Not to mention they're after Y/n and the squad under the direct control of Grimoire Heart's Master Hades is on its way here..." Juvia adds on.

"How many of you are there?" I ask myself as more and more come to me. "Keep her alive!" A guard yells as they keep coming. "Urano Metria!" I cast. More guards are taken down. A guard jumps up and strikes down his sword. I catch it in between my hands before it strikes. "I got you!" I hear behind me. I grab the sword and use it to throw it towards the guard that was behind me.

"She's too powerful."
"She's taken down hundreds already!"
"We need the seven!"
"She doesn't even have a scratch on her!"
"So she is the ultimate light wizard."
"We have to run!"
"No! We have to keep trying!"

"I agree with that one guard. You should just run." I say to them. They lift up with magic weapons and load their attacks. They all shoot at once. I created a sphere force field around me and they're surprised when the smoke clears to see this.

As I'm fighting, I feel immense magic energy and I recognize this power. Fairy Law. Right after feeling that, I felt a similar one. A dark one though. I grab a guard and trap all the rest into spheres. "What are you after?" I ask the guards.

"As if I'd tell you." He says. I growl and throw him to him to ground. A sharp sword made of light appears in my head and I point it to his neck. "Tell me what you're after cause I won't hesitate." I threaten. As for the other guards, they were floating off. To like... the sun. Who knows.

"O-okay! Y-You! And Zeref. Master Hades demanded we find you two and bring you to him!" The guard spits out.

"Zeref... he's on this island?!" I ask and the guard nods his head. This is the moment. The moment where I use my magic for its intended purposes. "Do you know where?" He shakes his head. "So Grimoire Heart... a guild in the Baram Alliance sent you guys to capture me and Zeref? Just you guys?"

"You say that like we're weak!"

"You kinda are."

"You're not the only ones here. In fact, the main 7 are here. The 7 Kin of Purgatory. Trust you. You and Fairy Tail don't stand a chance. Turn yourself in to Master Hades before things get ugly." The soldier laughs. I make the sword go away and step away from him. A sphere appears around him too and I send him up along with his friends.

As I'm running, I hear a loud boom from far away. Hopefully it was someone from our guild. "She's right there!" More guards appear in front me. They run up to me. "Out of my way!" I yell and stomp the run. A linear explosion is created in front of me and I run past the guards as they were sent flying back.

So Zeref was the magic I felt earlier. He's on this island.

"No crying, Y/n." My dad tells me as he carries me inside the house with Jellal walking behind. My dad sets me down. "I need to talk with your sister, Jellal. Mind going to help your mother with the cooking?" Jellal shakes his head and walks to the kitchen to help my mom and my father leads me to my shared bedroom with Jellal.

My dad picks me up and places me on the bed. "I-I wanted to use my magic, but-!"

"Y/n, no magic. Not until it's necessary, remember?" My dad says sternly. Jellal and I had gone to the nearby store. Well, some older kids came along and tried stealing my candy and money while Jellal was busy picking up some things that we had forgotten. Thankfully, he came and stopped them. They were older than me, but younger than him.

"But, you and mom said that I need to use my magic for good. I need to use it to fight the bad people." I say to him.

"Yes, but those bullies... they're not the bad people you're after. You're after Zeref. The most evil bully of all time. You're magic was given to you by the people who created it 400 years ago." My dad explains.

"Shouldn't he be dead? 400 years is very old." I say confused.

My dad nods, "He's immortal meaning he doesn't die. The only way he dies is when you kill him. Your magic was created to defeat him. You're the ultimate light magic user. You... you're the wizard. Cool, right? You're the man. You're the hero."

"I'm the hero?"

My dad nods, "We said to never use your magic until you find him, okay? Y/n, as you get older you'll run into more thieves and bullies. They're gonna want more than your treats and money. They're gonna want your magic. They're gonna want you. When that time comes, you fight.

Don't let the fear of them sidetrack you from your goal, okay? If you just keep focusing on what's important, defeating Zeref, you'll make it there eventually. When you defeat him and bring peace to the world, it will be the greatest feeling in the world. But, there will be no Jellal to help you. Don't tell Jellal I said this, but... you're stronger."

"I am?"

He nods, "No one can help you, Y/n. You and Zeref are the strongest people alive. You're gonna grow up and then Jellal won't be there. I won't be there. Mommy won't be there. You'll realize when standing in front of Zeref that it's just you. You're on your own, Y/n. Be on your own."
