Chapter 58: Raven Tail | Day One

I watch as balloons fly into the sky and the crowd cheers loudly. 

"It has finally begun! The festival of magic that only comes once a year... The Grand Magic Games!"

Last night, Happy and I had found Wendy and Carla near the castle and all drained of their magic. Elfman had to take her place in the games and I'm worried. Elfman is strong, plus there's another team in case this one fails. Not that I think they're gonna fail, but.... one team has better wizards and that team isn't the A team. 

"The Grand Magic Games are about to begin! I'm Chapati Lola, and I'll be handling the play-by-play while former Council member Mr. Yajima will be providing commentary! It's good to have you here, Mr. Yagima!"

"Good to be here!"

"And for our guest for this first day is Ms. Jenny Realite, the member of Blue Pegasus who holds the title of Miss Fiore!"

"We're going to win this year!"

"Now to introduce the competitors! First up, in 8th place! Can this rowdy bunch with an uncharacteristic name reclaim its former glory?! It's Fairy Tail!"

Natsu raises his fist into the air and they're met with boos. 

"Despite coming in last every year before, Fairy Tail has already managed to clear the preliminaries and secure its spot as one of the top 8 guilds! Will the Tenrou Team's sensational return help them become Fiore's greatest guild?!" 

I laugh at their faces of embarrassment before me and Finn stand up and start cheering.  

"I'm truly glad for them. Congratulations, Fairy Tail." 

Everyone in the booth with me starts doing the same. "Hooray! Hooray!" Master yells at the top of his lungs. We all scream to match him and come to a sudden stop when we hear a tiny voice start cheering with us. "Hooray! Hooray! Fairy Tail!" 

Our mouths are to the floor. "Master Mavis...!" Master exclaims in surprise. She smiles at us, "I came to cheer you guys on!"

"Err, but wait, aren't you...?"

"It's okay! Only people with our guild's emblem can see me!" She assures us. 

"Uhh... Is that really the issue here?" 

"I couldn't help it; it's so dull being stuck on Tenrou Island all the time!" She tells us.  

"Next up, in 7th place! The army of hellhounds... Quatro Cerberus!" 

Five men come out. 

"In 6th place, a guild of all girls! The dancers of the great, blue sea... Mermaid Heel!"

Five ladies come out. All the men around me get heart eyes and stare intensely at them. 

"In 5th place, with azure wings that glimmer in the jet-black darkness: Blue Pegasus!"

The trimen and Ichiya along with a bunny come out posing in formation. 

"You can do it, guys!"

"Next in 4th place! The goddess of love and strife! The sacred destroyer! Lamia Scale!"

Lyon comes out with his team. I expect a lot from them since they have a 10 Wizard Saint on their team.
