Chapter 74: What A Feeling

a/n: ok so lucy's death and heaven scene is sad and all but can we talk about levy crying while she was writing a letter to lucy. literally so depressing.

Y/n stands up and looks around. All she sees is fire, fallen buildings, and smoke. "Jellal! Erza! Natsu!" She calls out. She hears something break apart. She turns around and sees the castle falling. A dragon up in the sky let out a fire breath and caused linear explosions in front of her. In the sky were dragons. Thousands. Y/n sees a dragon fly to her and prepare a breath attack.

She didn't have strength to pick herself up or protect herself. She closed her eyes. "Sorry I'm late, Y/n." The terrified girl opens her eyes and saw her close friend had sucked up all the flames. The dragon lands in front of the two.

"Hey, morons! Quit bein' cocky!" Natsu yells at the huge beast as it lands in front of them. More and more start to fly over. "I'm a Fairy Tail wizard, Natsu Dragneel! A Dragon Slayer!" More and more tears start streaming down Y/n's face as she watch her friend charge at the dragon.

"Natsu!" Y/n cries.

Y/n shoots up from the hotel and looks outside to the sun had come up. She walks over to the curtains and pulls them open. The sky wasn't filled with dragons. It was actually a pretty sunny day. "Hey! Close the curtains!" She hears Gajeel yell. She does so and goes to lay back down on her bed. Yesterday she went underground with the three Dragon Slayers, exceeds, and Gray and Lucy.

They saw dragon bones and Wendy even managed to contact a dragon. Then they met up with Yukino and some knight named Arcadios. Some guards and this short man then arrested Arcadios, Lucy, and Yukino. A lot stuff happened and the Fairy Tail guild had a plan to rescue Lucy.

The rescue team was going to be Mira, Erza, Natsu, Wendy, and the exceeds. Y/n insisted on going instead of Mira and Erza, but Master said Y/n must participate in the games. Time passed by and eventually it was time for the Fairy Tail team to get up and start getting ready for the final day of the games. Everyone was ready except one person. Y/n Fernandes. She stayed awake for hours staring at the ceiling.

"C'mon Y/n! We're gonna be late!" Juvia pokes Y/n.

"I'm not going. Get Erza or Mira to go for me. I'm staying in bed." I tell Juvia.

"Why?" Gajeel asks, starting to feel irritated.

"I'm just not going." Y/n tells him.

"You have to go! You're the leader, Master Mavis assigned you your opponents, this is not optional." Juvia tells her.

"Yes, it is. I'm staying in bed." Y/n repeats.

"Say something." Juvia and Gajeel whisper to Gray. Gray walks over and sits at the edge of Y/n's bed.

"Uh... Y/n, you're going against Sabertooth's Minerva. You want to beat the crap out of her, remember? This is your chance." Gray tries getting her out of bed.

"I don't care about Minerva or Sabertooth right now!" Y/n grabs a pillow and places it over her face to block out everyone.

"I think there's only one person who can understand her." Laxus says and leaves the room. Y/n hears the door close and removes the pillow on her face and sees no one. She continues staring at the ceiling. The door opens again after a minute or so and Y/n places the pillow back over her face.

"Y/n?" She hears a familiar voice. She removes the pillow and sees Erza in the room. "Laxus and the others tell me that you won't get out of bed."

Y/n sits up and Erza sits on the edge of the bed. "I have a feeling." Y/n reveals.

"A feeling?" Erza questions.

Y/n nods.

"Okay what kind of feeling?" Erza asks.

"Like I might die."

"Don't be ridiculous! Y/n, get up and start getting ready! We're late! Let's go!" Erza yells and removes the blanket from Y/n.

"Erza, come on." Y/n rolls her eyes. Erza sighs, "Okay talk to me."

"Okay, yesterday we went to the stupid underground cave remember? I made the mistake of tagging along with them. We saw dragon bones and Wendy even managed to contact a dragon. I developed a fear of these huge lizards because of Acnologia. I had a stupid dream dragons had taken over the world and you, Jellal, everyone had died and the only people left were me and Natsu." Y/n explains to her best friend.

Erza says nothing.

Y/n continues, "You know, I can't remember the last time we all did something together as a guild and nothing went wrong. That worries me. Everything this guild does ends in someone getting hurt. What if at the end of the games dragons do take over and we all die like in my dream? I have plans for us. So many adventures planned for us. We think we have forever, but we don't."

Y/n lays back down on the bed. "I just need to stay here, Erza. You'll do fine in the games and the rescue team will be fine without you."

Erza stands up on the bed and kicks Y/n out. "Whatever. We all have problems! Now get your ass out of bed and start getting ready for the Games. Now!"

Erza walks out the room as Y/n starts getting ready and sees the whole Fairy Tail team eavesdropping. "She's good to go." Erza smiles.

Before the rescue team and the Fairy Tail team take their separate ways, they were walking together. "You all right?" Natsu asks Y/n, noticing her silent behavior.

Y/n looks at Natsu, "I have a feeling." She tells him.

"I get those." Nastu says.

"And? How do I get rid of it?" Y/n asks him.

"Maybe you're just nervous. If you wait long enough, it passes. The feeling will go away once the games start, it's just nervousness." Natsu shrugs.

"Promise?"

"I Promise."
