Chapter 43: Mess

Kira's POV

"Wala ka pa bang planong bumaba?" Napapitlag ako ng marinig ko ang boses ni Daddy. He chuckled and patted my back. "Ang lalim ng iniisip mo, ah? Wag kang mag-alala, mahal ka nun."

"Dad, do you think it's unfair?" I whispered.

"Anak, when you love kasama na dun ang lahat ng pangit na nakaraan. It's a package deal, Veronika. If you can't accept that part of him don't you think you're also being unfair to him? I know I am being irrational and unreasonable but I feel so insecure.

"Look at him." Turo nito sa isang malaking salamin. Doon ko nakikita ang kabuohan ni Nathaniel. Na guilty naman ako sa nakita. "Pinaparusahan nya ang sarili nya. You know very well that their wolf became restless when their mate is away." Nag-iwas ako ng tingin at napatingin sa tiyan ko.

"Bumaba ka na sa lupa. He's waiting for you." Dad tapped my back. "Don't let her ruin the both of you. For sure, she will be happy if she knows that she succeeded in ruining your relationship with him." And then he left me alone inside my room.

Nathaniel's POV

It's been two weeks since she left. My life is empty. I can't feel her. I don't know where she is. The ring is colorless and dull. Para na akong mababaliw. I was stupid! Damn! Gusto kong patayin ang sarili ko dahil sa kagaguhan ko nuon. I feel like dying.

"Kuya! Please! Kumain ka na! You looked so miserable!"

"Leave!"

"But kuya..."

"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE!!" Galit kong sigaw. Wala syang nagawa at iniwan ako sa loob ng kwarto. Galit na tinabig ko ang mga gamit na nahawakan ko. My wolf is restless.

Narinig ko ang pagbukas ng pintoan.

"I said leave me the fuck alone!" Marahas kong sigaw.

"What are you doing to yourself, Nathaniel?" Narinig kong iyak ni Mommy.

"S-She left, Mom" Napaupo ako sa sulok at sinapo ang noo. I feel so helpless.

"She will be back. Just give her time." She assured me but I shook my head.

"Kailan, Mom?! Kailan?! I can't wait any longer! I need her right now!"

"NATHANIEL! STOP WHINING LIKE A CHILD! THIS WAS YOUR FAULT SO STOP SULKING AND FACE YOUR CONSEQUENCES!" Natigilan ako ng sigawan ako ni Mommy. She has never done this before. She was always calm and composed. The Queen that she is.
