Chapter 46: Real

Kira POV

I knew something is not right so I came back. Naabutan ko si Mommy Zen at Leira sa kwarto namin ni Nathaniel habang umiiyak. May kasama silang apat na babae habang si Daddy Delfin naman ay hindi magkamayaw sa pagpaparo't-parito sa paglalakad.

I saw Nathaniel on the bed sleeping so peacefully. If he knows that I'm already here paniguradong gigising to. Amoy ko palang lilingon na sya but he remained asleep.

"A-Ate Kira!" Lumapit si Leira at agad na yumakap sa akin. Humagulhol sya. Nakita kong mugtong-mugto na ang mga mata ni Mommy Zen habang hawak-hawak ang kamay ng mahal ko. "A-Ate, si Kuya." Hinagod ko ang likod nito dahil yumuyugyog na ito sa pag iyak.

"A-Ate, nagsisimula na naman si Hashim." Natigilan ako at inilayo sya ng bahagya para matingnan sya sa mukha. Sunod-sunod ang pagtulo ng mga luha nya sa pisngi.

"Tell me what happened." Malumanay kong ani. Alam kong tungkol ito kay Nathaniel. I feel something is odd but I have to calm myself and stay focus. I don't want to panic because they will, too. I want them to see me strong and composed so that they will feel at ease.

"Hashim, is taking Kuya away from us. He can't be awakened. Kanina pa sya tulog kahit anong gawin naming pag gising. Kasama niya si Hashim ngayon sa panaginip nya." I gritted my teeth after I heard that. Pinaupo ko sya at lumapit kay Daddy Delfin para paupoin din ito.

"Dad, relax and take a seat." Anas ko at tinapik sya sa balikat. Bumuntong hininga ito at sinapo ang ulo.

"He can't be awakened, Veronika. Nagpatawag na ako ng mga babaylan para tulongan kami pero wala silang magawa. Hashim sold her soul to a demon just to have Nathaniel forever. She's really obsessed!"

"Dad, umupo ka muna." Iginiya ko sya sa malapit na silya. "I'll talk to Mom. Just keep your cool." Bilin ko at tumango naman ito. Nilapitan ko naman si Mommy Zen.

"Hija, si Nate." Nanginginig ang kamay nya kaya hinawakan ko ito. "He was a mess when you left him. He rarely eats, barely sleeps. He loves you, anak and I saw how he regret everything he did from the past." Humikbi ito kaya hindi ko naiwasan ang pagtulo ng luha ko. "We can't lose him, Veronika. The palace needs him."

"Witches are powerful, Hija and now they're connected to the demons. Ginugulo nila kami. They are declaring war from us." Iling ni Mommy. Malalakas ang Lycans sa pisikal na aspeto pero wala silang laban sa mahika. "The Babaylans did everything they can pero hindi namin magising si Nathaniel."

"Where are the witches?" Tiningnan ko si Daddy Delfin.

"They were banned months before you came here. Yun ang ginawa ni Nathaniel nung iniwan ka nya sa Hwuri. But now, they destroyed the barrier that the Babaylans created. Any time at this day susugod sila dito kay ipinahanda ko na lahat ng Lycan warrior sa labas. They are around the boundary."

Napailing ako at napabuntong hininga. Tiningnan ko si Nathaniel at hinagod ang hapis nyang pisngi. Kahit pumayat sya ay napakagwapo parin niya.
