NamJin Short One-Shot

ANGST

"What do you think of taking notes?" Seokjin asked as he pulled out a notebook. He then placed it in front of the man who's wearing white with some small prints, uniform to others who are in the same room as them.

"What notes?" The man asked as he put down the book that he's reading. He fixed his glasses and looked at the handsome-looking man in front of him. He doesn't even know why this man kept on appearing but he at least enjoyed it. The man would always wear the same beautiful smile and such angelic face that holds a great amount of... uncertainty? worry? deluded? Or maybe it was himself that he's seeing.

He would often look at his eyes and stare deep and he would see himself. Just like what most pupils would do. Just like how the normal human iris would. But this man's eyes are always different. Whenever he would look at them, he could see something different. Something dark yet light. Heavy yet soft and smooth. Frightening yet ubiquitously not rare.

"Notes... like reminders. For review. Like what most students have. Notes..." Seokjin explained and the man nodded. He once more looked at his book and looked back to Seokjin as if contemplating if he should stop reading for a while. He did. He closed the book and gave him his attention.

"Notes..." He mumbled and nodded softly. "Well, I think they are a good application of responsibility and eagerness. I mean, students who take notes of their lessons and the things that they have to review in the future are practicing it without knowing how much it could help. There are different kinds of notes after all. Some are literally written, some are mentally written. It depends on the person or the student's learning style or comfortable state." Namjoon laid his thoughts one by one, stopping as if finding his right words and ended it. "Notes, all in all, could help a lot. To remember things and review them when you forgot about them..."

Seokjin smiled as he nodded. He expected his answer to be that long so he reached for his hands and looked into his eyes. "Can you..." Seokjin started and Namjoon felt something burning inside. Boiling as if. It was weird and too warm for his liking. "Can you take notes of what happened today?"

"Like a diary? Or a journal entry?" The man asked and Seokjin nodded.

"Yes... like that." He said softly and held Namjoon's eyes for a while longer before he opened his mouth once more to speak slowly. "So that you have something to review and remind you that we know each other... and that I know you are Kim Namjoon, and you know that I am Kim Seokjin..." he said and Namjoon felt his head pounding, together with the fast beats of his chest.

Almost too much that he struggled to hear the next words that left the man's lips. "So that there is something that would remind you... that I existed in your life before and we... we did happen..."

With these words, Namjoon felt the most urging feeling to leave and be alone. He felt like a pervasive feeling is creeping into his system and he felt like he had to feel it and understand it. Then in a drop of a tear from the man's eyes, he felt the white walls of this institution became duller and sadder.

"We did happen..." Namjoon repeated.

"We did happen." Seokjin nodded as tears fell more. "Do not forget... even if your brain tells you to. Do not forget. We did happen..."
