Chapter 6

Maya was sitting in her apartment when she looked across the room to find Josh busy with some kind of assignment he had to do for school.
Smiling at how her life was as she wanted it to be she switched off the television and grabbed a book which she read.

"Didn't even know you read," Josh said as Maya smiled at the words.
"I do. Every once in awhile," Maya said.
"Are you okay? You're freak out the other day. I was worried," Josh said.
"I know. But I'm okay now. I think it just got overwhelming to me. Everythjng is supposed to be so perfect but it's all bothering me," Maya said.
"What is bothering you?" Josh asked.
"Stuff going on between me and my mom. It's pretty much nothing new but I am just taking it badly. Listen you shouldn't feel obligated to be here. I'll be fine in my own," Maya said.
"I like being here. It's nice seeing what your life is actually like behind the front you put up for my niece. But allow me to help when it gets too much," Josh said.
"I will. But I really just need to process this on my own. Not something you can help me on," Maya said.
