Laura and I stood by the door just talking and occasionally watching Josh talk to his family while trying to balance focusing on Josie. He was currently talking to his dad, his cousins, and his uncles as Josie danced to the music against the couch, standing up and bouncing.

"I can't believe she's already standing up on her own." Laura chuckles, taking a sip of her soda. "Yeah, she's probably going to start walking soon." I replied, slowly taking a sip of my own soda as I watched Joshua reach down and brushed hair away from her eyes. In return, she turns away from him and towards her grandfather. He looked shock as she turned away from him. Laughing, I turned to Laura.

"Hey, I gotta use the bathroom." I told Laura as I sat my drink down on the table beside us. She nods as I began to walk to the bathroom. As I turned the corner, I was stopped by a middle aged woman.

"Hey, Joshua's girlfriend right?" She asks, taking a sip of her wine. "Wife, but yes." I politely smiled. "It's so nice to meet you, Laura tells me so much about you two and Josie." She smiles, holding out her hand for me to shake. Shaking it, I smiled at her.

"Nice to meet you." I beamed as I pulled my hand away from hers.

"Have you by any chance seen Laura? I've been searching for her ever since I got here." She laughs as a few people passed us. "Yeah! She's by the front door." I smiled. "Awesome, thank you." She smiles before politely nodding her head and walking past me. She seemed extremely sweet.

After finishing my business in the bathroom, I returned to the living room to see all of the guys were out of the living room. "Where'd they go?" I asked as I saw Josie in Laura's arms. She reaches towards me as I neared. The woman I met in the hallway was standing next to Laura.

I gently took her from Laura's arms as Laura began to talk. "They went out in the backyard to play basketball." Laura responds.

"Oh! I never introduced myself to you in the hallway. I'm Sandra, Laura's sister and Josh's aunt." She smiles. Smiling at her, I saw Josie looking around in the corner of my eye.

"You guys want to go watch the boys play basketball?" Laura asks, noticing Josie's change in interest. "Yeah, I think she wants to see Josh."

"She's a daddy's girl, isn't she?" Sandra laughs as we begin to walk outside. "Yeah, and she looks exactly like him. I carried her for nine months for her to look like him." I grabbed my drink on the way out.

Sandra and Laura chuckle as we walked outside. There was a small basketball hoop towards the side of the fence, meanwhile there was a large pool a bit farther down the yard.

"Aye!" I heard Josh laugh as he makes it in the hoop. He glances up at us as we sat down, since the patio is a bit elevated from the ground.

Josie intently watches her dad play basketball as the rest of us talk. "Oh yeah!" I heard them cheer as a familiar sound rang out.

"She really likes him doesn't she." Sandra laughs, looking at Josie who was staring at Joshua. "Yeah, I think so. He can calm her down instantly meanwhile it takes me like a minute." I laughed as she turned her attention to my necklace. She grips onto it, trying to lift it to her mouth.

"At-at! You can't eat this." I scolded as I took it away from her. She begins to fuss. "Okay, get mad I tried to prevent you from choking." I sighed, cradling her to my chest as I leaned back in the chair. She relaxed in my arms as he rests her head on my chest, closing her eyes.

A few minutes into our conversation, I heard soft snores from her. Instead of trying to stand up, I kissed the top of her head and rubbed her back in attempt to help her fall asleep.

She doesn't stay asleep for long, so she'll probably sleep through the night. The guys begin to make their way up the stairs and towards us.

"You up for a swim?" Josh asks, leaning down towards me. One of his curls flops down on my forehead. "What about Josie?" I asked. "I can hold her while we're in there, or my mom can take her?" Josh suggests, sitting down next to me.

"Please?" He pouts, gently brushing hair out of my face. "Fine, I'll go get the swimsuits." I laughed as I stood up. Joshua cheers as I walked through the house and out to our car. I grabbed the bag we packed that had swim diapers just in case and our swimsuits. The swimsuit I had packed for Josie had a watermelon print on it, meanwhile I packed my self a blue floral high waisted bikini set. Joshua packed himself his black swim trunks.

"You ready to swim, baby?" I smiled as I brought her inside the house again. Smiling at the family members on the couch, I gave Joshua his swimsuit briefly before walking up to Joshua's old room and closing the door behind us.

I didn't realize how cute Josie was in this swimsuit. We took her down to our apartment complex's pool in her blue cupcake swimsuit, but this one had to be my favorite. She giggles as I finished it off. I quickly changed myself before cleaning up our clothes and placing them in the bag. Grabbing my sunglasses and sunscreen, I made my way back downstairs and to the patio.

"Look at you!" Laura cheers as she sees Josie. Josh must be still changing, because he wasn't anywhere to be found. Laura smiles as I sat down beside her with Josie in my lap. "Isn't she just adorable!" Sandra smiles.

Smiling, I spread the sunscreen on my hands. "This has to be the cutest swimsuit I got her." I beamed as I applied some sunscreen on her body.

"Oh! I got her some floaties!" Laura exclaims, excitedly standing up and making her way inside. As she walks out, Josh walks out shirtless with sunglasses and a backwards hat on his head. He had yet to see Josie in my lap, due to the flowers on the table. "Where's Josie?" He asks.

Smiling, I lifted her up onto the table and gently stood her up with me supporting her whole body. "Look at her swimsuit! I can't get over it!" I exclaimed. She giggled as Josh's face lights up at the sight of her.

"Look how pretty you are!" He exclaimed, joining my side. She giggled and reaches for him. Joshua happily takes her from me gently. She giggles in his arms as we wait for his mom to return. "What're we waiting for?" He asks, gently bouncing Josie. "Your mom got Josie some floaties." I replied as I noticed his curls popping out from underneath his hat.
