"Good morning." Joshua greets me the next morning as he enters the kitchen. His curls were damp, meaning he had just hopped out of the shower.

"Good morning!" I smiled, feeling his wrap his arms around my waist from behind. "I kept to my promise and made you coffee." I beamed up at him while pointing at the mug by the coffee pot. "Thank you, love." He smiles, kisses my cheek, and makes his way over to the coffee pot.

"I'm going to pick up Josie soon, you coming?" I asked him. "I gotta do some paperwork for work, but hurry home, alright? I wanna see my baby girl." Joshua gently smiles as he takes a sip of his coffee.

"Our baby girl, Joshua." I chuckled, making my way over to the door where my shoes were and sliding them on. "Our baby girl, Angelena." He teases, grabbing his laptop from the island counter. "Ugh, you know how much I hate my full name." I playfully rolled my eyes while grabbing my keys.

"Whatever, have fun babe." Joshua chuckles as he nears me with his coffee in hand and his laptop in his other hands. Smirking, I leaned in a took a small sip of his coffee.

"I'll see you later, I love you." I beamed up at him, pulling my hair out of the pony tail. "I love you too. Drive safe!" He calls out. Smiling, I kissed him briefly before turning to the door. "Will do!" I exclaimed, closing the door behind me.

"Hey, mom." I greeted as she opened the door. "Awe, come on! She hasn't even woke up yet!" My mom laughs as she hugs me. "That's alright, I wanted to hang out for a bit anyways." I laughed, stepping inside the house.

The two of us sit down in the living room and talk for a bit.

"So...how was your night without Josie?" She asks. "Pretty weird. We looked at new houses for us to move into since the apartment is getting kind of cramped."

"Ah, well there's a couple houses for rent in this neighborhood." My mom says, taking a sip of her own coffee. "We're already interested in one, but we'll check them out." I nodded, crossing my legs as we spoke. In all honesty, I didn't want to live in this neighborhood. As much as I love my family, we need time away from each other.

As I went to speak, I heard an adorable voice ring out upstairs. "Mama!" Josie called out. "I'll go get her." I smiled, springing up and going up the stairs.

Opening the door to my old room, I found my daughter in a brand new crib. "Hey, Josie! Sleep good?" I smiled, picking her up and holding her close to my chest. She softly nods against my chest, rubbing her tired eyes.

The two of us joined my mom in the living room. "Good morning!" My mom smiles. Josie sleepily smiles as I rub her back, sitting down in the process.

"So, Jake and I are planning on having a little family reunion next week, Friday probably, you guys are welcome to come." My mom smiles, putting on a little kids show for Josie. "We'll be there!" I smiled, bouncing Josie on my lap. Her laugh fills the room.

"Great! Josie will get to meet her relatives on your side!" My mom plays with Josie as she crawls off my lap.

"We're home!" I called out as Josie and I entered the apartment. "Home!" She echoes me as I saw Josh begin to stand up in the living room.

"Josie!" He exclaims, his face lighting up as he nears us in the kitchen. Josie claps as Joshua reaches out for her, gently collecting her from my arms. "I missed you, sweetheart!"

"Dada!" She smiles, cuddling into his chest while hugging him as best as she could. "How was Grandma's?" He asks, gently setting her on the counter as he stands in front of her to make sure she doesn't fall.

Sending him a little thumbs up, she glanced around the apartment. Laughing, I made my way to the pantry and refrigerator to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. "Snack?" Josie's small voice asks. "Yeah! Good idea!" Joshua exclaimed, picking her back up and bringing her over to where I was standing.

"Not too much, she's going down for a nap soon because of how long I was at my moms." I chuckled, slathering some peanut butter on the bread.

"Not for long though, right Josie? You wanna play with dada?" He laughs, ticking her tummy. Her laugh fills the atmosphere, earning a smile from me. "Oh, how I missed that." I beamed, finishing up my sandwich.

"You want some applesauce, JJ?" Joshua asks, motioning to the small package in the refrigerator. She softly smiles as Joshua grabs it for her, gently handing it to her.

Josie eats her applesauce on Joshua's lap as we relaxed on the couch after getting all our snacks.

"Alright, you two, it's time for her nap." I placed my plate down on the coffee table. "Oh come on! Just five more minutes!" Joshua pouts, glancing at Josie who was sitting in his lap. "You've had two '5 more minutes.' She's going to get cranky soon." I laughed, glancing down at her.

"You ready for nap nap?" I asked, holding my arms out for her. She sleepily nods and crawls over to me. Joshua pouts, but helps her anyways. "You can play more when she wakes up, J." I kissed his cheek before placing Josie on my hip and standing up, making my way to her nursery.

As soon as she was laying down, she was passed out. Smiling, I gently turned the lights off and softly exited the room.

When the door was shut, I heard a guitar strumming. With a light smile on my face, I ventured into his music room to see him sitting on the ground with his acoustic guitar in his lap.

"Can you teach me how to play?" I questioned. "You play guitar though?" Joshua laughs, holding his hand out for me when he realized I was there. "I play electric, not acoustic." I chuckled, nearing him and taking his hand in mine. With a slight nod, he moves his guitar off his lap and positioned me between his thighs. Joshua gently placing the guitar in front of me and guides my hands to the correct frets.
