The melon popped up, which turned out to be a small girl wearing a melon rind on her head. She held up Chrome's magnet, which was full of iron sand. Y/n usually didn't like kids, but the fact that this little girl was so willing to help out made her heart melt a little. Kohaku looked at the girl in surprise.

"Oh, if it isn't Suika! What'cha doing here?"

"'Suika' is her name?" Senku asked, puzzled. Y/n figured that most of the villagers were named after metals and stones, like Kinrou, Ginrou, and Chrome, so she didn't find it too odd to see a child named after a melon.

"It's just a nickname, I think," Chrome said, shrugging. "It's because she wears that melon rind all the time."

"Why, Google?" Y/n asked. Ever since she explained the concept of the web browser to Chrome, he thought it was amazing, so Y/n had settled on that as his nickname, however weird it was. He flashed her a content grin before turning to Suika and snatching the magnet back.

"Suika, don't just take my magnet however you like!" He yelled. Y/n felt a wave of protection wash over her for Suika, who seemed unaffected by his yelling. Chrome looked at the magnet, noticing more iron sand. Suika fidgeted.

"Suika wants to help too. Because I'm always wearing this, I've never been useful to anyone... because of that, if there's someone who needs help, Suika will—"

"Alright, enough with the chit chat," Senku said. Y/n felt the overwhelming urge to punch him in the gut in that moment, but she kept smiling as though nothing were wrong. His next words caught her off guard. "In truth, I'm grateful. The kingdom of science needs all the help it can get, no matter how small. Besides, a pipsqueak like you is ten billion times better at this job than any of us, so I'm counting on you, Suika."

He then walked off, leaving Suika in awe. She blushed. "This is the first time Suika has met someone who didn't ask her why she wears this. Surely, he noticed that she doesn't want to show her face!"

Kohaku smiled sadly, "that's just because you don't know Senku well.... don't glorify him."

"Suika will get a ton of black sand!" She exclaimed, not listening to Kohaku. She rushed down the river speedily, causing Chrome to hell after her.

"Are you Momotaro?! Don't drown!"

"Momotaro?! Where'd you hear about that?!" Y/n exclaimed. She knew that folk tale all too well, so how did the villagers know about it? Senku nodded, clearly wanting the same explanation as she did.

"You don't know about Dragon Quest or Monster Hunter, but you know about Momotaro?"

"Oh, you two know Momotaro too?" Chrome asked. Suika popped up.

"Miss Ruri tells us a bunch of stories!" She piped up. Y/n paused. It was odd that something like Momotaro got passed down, not to mention their knowledge of gorillas, though lions would be a reasonable thing to have known about...

"Now that I think about it... how do you know about gorillas? They don't live here too, do they?" Y/n asked. Chrome shook his head.

"I've never seen one in real life, but it appears in Momotaro, right?!" Chrome asked.

"No, it doesn't!" Y/n and Senku exclaimed simultaneously.

"Wasn't it one of the friends he got with Millet Cakes?"

"No!"

"What kind of wild Momotaro is that?!"

"I've heard an insane amount of stories from Ruri too," Kohaku chimed in. "With all these difficult words too, but she remembers it like it's nothing."
