I'm on my way home from the hospital. I had to go for my check up and luckily everything is fine. The doctor was glad to hear that I have my memory back and haven't been having any problems.

Although he did tell me I'm extremely sleep deprived which isn't a surprise to me because Amelia has been waking up with nightmares at least twice every night. It's not her fault though.

Maya has been staying with us for the whole week. She's not a bother to any of us. I'm not sure when I'm going to let her go home or if I'm ever letting her go home after what I've seen. We went shopping a few days ago and I bought her new clothes so she has stuff to wear.

I pull into the driveway, get out of the car, and go inside. I'm greeted by the pups.

"Hi babies." I say, bending down to pet them.

When I stand back up, I see Jai sitting on the couch.

"Hey love, how'd everything go?" He asks.

"Good. Everything's fine. The doctor was glad to hear I have my memory back." I tell him, taking off my shoes.

"That's good." He replies as I sit down next to him.

"So where are the girls?" I ask him.

"They went to the park." He tells me.

"The park? Jai are you sure that was a good idea? What about Nash?" I ask feeling scared.

"Ari don't worry. You know Nash is in Juvie. They've got him. He won't get Amelia and he won't get Maya either. I promise you they're fine." He assures me, taking my hand in his.

"Amelia has her phone right?" I ask.

"Yes. She promised to call if she needed anything or if anything happened." He tells me.

"Good." I say.

"Good." He repeats smiling at me.

I lay my head on his shoulder and close my eyes, completely exhausted.

"Hey Ari?" He asks, I feel his hand caressing my thigh.

"Yeah?" I reply, my eyes still closed.

"Wanna go upstairs?" He asks.

"Sure." I agree.

He stands up and scoops me into his arms, carrying me up the steps into our room.

"Jai can Maya and I go to the park?" I ask.

"Do you even know where the park is?" He asks me.

"Sure. We've passed it a million times. I pay attention." I tell him.

"Do you have your phone?" He asks me.

"Yes." I show him my phone.

"Maya you won't leave her alone right?" He looks at Maya.

"I won't sir. I promise." She assures him.

Jai laughs a little.

"What did I tell you about calling me sir?" He asks her.

"It makes you feel old... but sir it's really funny!" She laughs.

"You're lucky I like you." Jai says, messing up her hair a little.

"Alright go ahead. You better call me if anything happens or if you need anything. Deal?" He asks.

"Yes. Deal." I say.
