Clearing his throat Alex straightened himself up. "James...what-what're you doing in there? I thought you and N weren't talking." He had to hold back a rage of emotions he wanted to unleash upon him.

"Oh, um, we were-uh working things out." James coughed out scratching the back of his head. When he lifted his arm, Alex noticed his attire. Which was non-existence besides his pair of gym shorts. He cocked his eyebrow at James who did nothing but grin.

"Am I interrupting something?"

"Yes-"

"No, no you're not." Nina pushed James into the room as she opened the door wider in a robe. "We were just finishing up anyways." She said having no awkward tension mixed into it.

"Uh ok." Alex shook his head getting caught off guard. "N I need..." Alex stopped noticing James was dangerously close behind Nina. Leaning in further he whispered, "...I need to talk to you."

She looked confused at him. "Why?" She whispered back concerned before she felt James put his hand on her shoulder and lean in with them.

"Yeah Alex, why?...Got something to share?...If you do, go ahead. We're listening." James said cockily.

"You know what, it wasn't that important. I'll just tell you tomorrow." He had a difficult challenge of forcing out the fake smile as he said that.

"You sure Alex? You can tell us anything." Nina assured.

"Yeah, anything." James echoed giving Alex shivers. Finding no way to make him seem less suspicious Alex just shook his head at them.

"Alright, well then goodnight Alex." Nina said. But just as she was about to shut the door, James put his hand out from behind her, grabbing the door before it could close.

"Hang on there N. Clearly whatever it is that you have to say is important Alex. I mean after all you came and interrupted us just to tell us whatever this is. Let it be worth something. Come on and spill it." He pushed Nina out of the way and put his arm against the wall staring at Alex.

"No, you know what, I'm sorry I didn't mean to interrupt you two. Goodnight." Alex waved his hand as he turned around hearing James scoff as he shut the door.

'Well great! That went well! What's Nina doing trying to reconcile with that crocodile anyways! I swear she was still hating him like half an hour ago. Mallix better be in his room, someone needs to be know what Zander found out.'

Walking through the rest of the house to Mallix's room Alex knocked on his door, happy that Mallix instantly shouted for him to enter. Once inside Alex looked the door making sure there would be nobody to interrupt them.

"Everything alright Alex?" Mallix asked continuing to write out ideas into his notebook as he laid half way on his bed.

"No." Alex sat besides Mallix keeping his voice down.

"Why what's going on?" He asked still paying half attention as he was so focused on revising his escape plan.

"It's about James." Alex said instantly grabbing Mallix's attention. Slowly he shut his notebook placing it down besides him on the nightstand.

"What did he do now?" He asked sitting up.

"Well besides get back in bed with Nina. Zander found out something that you need to hear."

"What'd he find?"

Scooting in closer Alex made sure to speak with a low voice. "Remember when we were talking about James, and your suspicion about him."

"Yeah...where's this going Alex?" Mallix whispered back playing along with his games.

"I'm getting there. Zander was left alone in Nina's room after James left to take that phone call he got during your argument. And, it wasn't to me, M."

"Who was calling him?"

"No idea, but whoever it was had to have been associated with the Fendly's. Zander said he heard James yelling out by the lake. And he said that he heard James say that...well," he gulped looking over to his close friend already knowing this was going to end badly.

"Alex?" Mallix brought him out of it.

"Right, so...Mallix...uh...I'm sorry..." Mallix was on the edge of his seat getting more anxious as the seconds pass. "Zander he...h-he said that James said Kaila was..." Alex stopped feeling himself getting chocked up again.

But Mallix wasn't having it. Hearing Kaila's name was enough to let him know he needed to know what was going on. "Alex?!" He said in a louder whisper. "What already?! Your killing me here!"

"I'm sorry..." tears fell from his eyes as he cleared his throat trying to get the words out, "he said...James, he told them that Kaila was..." He paused again needing to collect himself.

"Was what?! Alex?! What is it?! What about Kaila?!" Mallix whispered even louder feeling tears hit his eyes. He knew if Alex was having this much difficultly telling him, then this would not be good information.

"He said she's been sold" he blurted out knowing if he thought about it any further he wouldn't be able to get it out. He coughed trying to bounce back.

But one look at Mallix and everything was done. His face was on fire. He couldn't have been more red, his usual blue eyes were black as night with only one intention in his mind. A singular tear dropped onto his pants, as soon as it came in contact with him there was steam that rose from how hot he was.

"Mallix?" Alex asked trying to get him to say something.

"Did.he.say.anything.else?" He asked grinding his teeth with every word.

"No. That was all Zander could hear before James quieted down."

"For his sake he better hope that's all he said." Mallix stood up with his fists already loaded to throw.

Alex stood gettin in front of Mallix's body putting his hand against his chest feeling the heat coming out of him. "Think about what your about to do."

"I have, and I'm fine with it. Now get out of my way Alex. James is going to pay for this." Mallix tried to push through but Alex's hold didn't budge and neither did he.

"Mallix you know I want to give him a piece of my mind as much as the next person, but think rationally. If you burst into Nina's room right now ready to kill him, we're going to have to nothing to go off of. He knows about something going on in the Fendly's complex. We need him around. Find out what he knows." Alex tried to reason but it was in one ear and out the other.

"Mallix?" Alex asked noticing there was no change in his demeanor.

"Get out of my way." He said with no emotion as the heat coming off him was too much for Alex to handle. Shaking his hand off of the heat, Mallix pushed past him storming out of his room.

'Crap!' Alex chased after him. When Mallix was at Nina's room her door stood no chance protecting them from the crazy menace inches away. In a few knocks the lock on the door broke letting the door swing open.
