Chapter 70: Let the Treatment Begin

Kaila gulped and a tear dropped watching him also pull out a disinfectant wipe and a bandaid. "This won't hurt too badly." He said opening the disinfectant wipe and clearing a spot on Kaila's upper arm before wiping it down. Her heart was pumping fast as she felt powerless to do anything. She couldn't move away or protest as he brought the needle up to her arm.

"Ok, you're going to feel just an itty bitty little pinch in three...two..." before he said one Kaila opened her mouth in pain as she felt way more than just a small pinch in her arm. In a time like this, Dr. Todd was more than grateful for her silence. After a long second he pulled the needle out and placed the bandaid on the wound. Taking the needle and trash he walked over to his hazard box to dispose of them.

Internally Kaila felt like she was dying. She felt her whole body shutting down as an over powering feeling of pain shot everywhere all at once. To top it off her lungs and heart ached with every breathe she took. Trying to scream, Kaila felt her throat was dry as ever and still no sound came out.

"That's going to make the gas take its course nearly a thousand percent faster than normal. It's why you feel all the pain at once even when your not moving, and you may feel lightheaded from how much stress this is going to be putting your body under. But trust me, this was a crucial step in your training process. I'll leave you here to let the serum help get rid of the chemicals the gas put into your system." He said aloud, but Kaila didn't hear a single word. She didn't even hear him leave the room and shut the glass door behind him.

All alone, the pain filled process of having endless waves of pain and torture coursing through every inch of her body lasted for more than three hours. By the end of the second hour Kaila started feeling numb all over and her screams and shouts we're finally starting to produce some noise.

Once Dr. Todd had returned to the room, Kaila was lying helplessly on the ground with a pool of tears all around her. He walked over seeing her eyes shut tightly and her fists clenched against her sides.

Kaila shivered feeling the last of the gas exiting her body. The sensation was too much for Kaila that she hadn't realized Dr. Todd was hovering only inches above her writing notes down on his clipboard.

He noted some of her behavioral patterns before putting it down on the floor. Getting back to Kaila, he first grabbed one of her fists watching her face for discomfort.

Still too scared to move or say anything Kaila remained still allowing Dr. Todd to inspect how well the serum worked. At first she felt nervous about him moving her body. Kaila anticipated feeling the pain, she'd grown used to, spread throughout her body when he moved her, but was pleasantly surprised to feel absolutely nothing. When he got no reaction he lifted her arm up, again checking for her reaction.

As Kaila once again showed no sign of any discomfort he checked the rest of her limbs, smiling when he noted that the serum had eliminated her pain problem. While he smiled writing notes, Kaila showed a small smile herself as she opened her eyes feeling better than ever.

"Seems like vaccine 71-GC worked nicely to help you gain more movement. Now how about you say something, can you tell me your name?" He asked smiling down at Kaila who was more than ecstatic to learn she could move again free of pain.

Even though the gas was only in her system for less than a day, it was enough to last her a lifetime. "Kaila." She smiled proud of herself that sound had come out of her mouth again. Something she had taken for granted had finally returned. A piece of her she never wanted to lose again.

"Very good. Vocal cords are clear." Dr. Todd chuckled seeing Kaila patting her arms and legs to check for remaining gas as he checked off a box on his checklist.

Sitting down in front of Kaila a few feet away, Dr. Todd criss crossed. "Sit like me." He instructed to which Kaila obeyed. She was still too excited to finally have control over her body again, that all she wanted to do was move around.

Placing his hands in front of his legs Dr. Todd began walking his hands forwards until his back was fully stretched. He didn't have to say anything or check on the small girl before him. After seeing her eagerness earlier he knew she would be easy to work with.

Continuing to run through various series of stretching exercise Kaila's doctor checked the small girl of her mobility and flexibility levels. He had to ensure that the gas did no permanent damage to her body that would cost the Fendly's thousands of dollars.

Finally getting to the last pose, both him and Kaila put their feet's flat on the ground with their hands over their head, and stretched their arms up away from them as far as possible. "Perfect," he cheered the happy girl on as he grabbed his clipboard off the floor and wrote down more notes. "Ok, now that you're physical is clear we can move onto your training now."

Kaila was busy jumping and bouncing around the room feeling how light she was on her feet when Dr. Todd had spoken. However, upon hearing him talk of her training made her high come down. She still did not want to be here. "No." She said coldly crossing her arms. As serious as she was when she said it, Kaila couldn't hide the shy smile from how happy she was to finally hear her own voice again.

"This isn't up for debate. We have four days to get you in top condition." His soft and caring attitude was gradually disappearing as a more cruel side of him began emerging.

"No!" She said again. This time with a shaky voice, she backed up against one of the glass walls. Trying to ease her way over to the exit, she slowly took little steps in that direction.

But her plan was not clever as Dr. Todd rolled his eyes and grabbing her arm violently. "I didn't want to have to be aggressive this early on in the process Kaila. But right now I don't have time to spare with you and be patient for your compliance. We're going to be doing things as ordered by the company." He pulled her in violently with one hand as she began fighting him.

Kaila tried punching and hitting him with all her might to be released but under his lab coat was an arm full of muscle. Using his free hand he reached down in his other lab coat pocket, pulling out a metal collar.
