"LAUREN!" He shouted with anger. This was testing his patience. "Take off the helmet now!" He demanded. Before Kaila could even shake her head he already had his finger up and in her face. "If you even make me wait another second I'll have you removed from office and you'll be grounded for the next month. You know too well Lauren that I do not like to wait!"
When Kaila still refused to move he backed away. She took a deep breathe as she fell from the wall. Looking up at Elias she could see his eyes were not his own. "Your...not...Lauren. Are you?" His voice cut slowly into her as he reached down into a belt along his waist.
Seeing the pocket he was reaching for resembled the look of a gun she panicked. Quickly she removed the mask. She didn't care what happened to her, but there would be no good to Lain or Mallix if she died here on the spot. Elias caught wind of her look and couldn't help but chuckle.
"Kaila," he had a frauds smile on as he clapped his hands approaching her. "How long it's been since I last saw you." His voice gleamed with evil.
She shivered as he bent down and assisted her up to her feet. His cold fingers on her skin made her feel uneasy. "You're suppose to be with Lauren." He couldn't hide the grim look forming on his face.
"Let me go!" She shouted yanking her arm out of his hold.
"Well you're more feisty than I remember. Couldn't even look at me last time we spoke. Now here you are, shouting at me. In my own building. Better remember your place girl." He lowly growled the last part into her ear as he got so close she could feel his body heat on her skin as her back pushed against the wall.
Fear overwhelmed her as she became silent. Elias pulled back and looked towards the Hound who had been standing idly by sharing a one sided laugh. "That's more like it. Now tell me girl, how did you escape my daughters department?"
His beating eyes were staring straight into her soul, her heart nearly fell down to the floor. "Silent now. What happened? You were just shouting at me earlier...? Oh wait," he backed away pacing back and forth in front of Kaila with hands behind his back, "that's right." He snapped his fingers. "Your friend is in here. Isn't she?" The way his face looked could only be described as insane.
Kaila wanted to shout and yell all her anger and frustration out on him, but he wasn't wrong. Hearing him mention Lain gave Kaila a run for her money. She didn't dare do anything that could ruin Lain's chances of getting out of here.
"I'm right aren't I?" He snaked closer to her against the wall. Without saying a word, Elias waved over the Hound officer whispering something into the masked figures ear.
Nodding in agreement, the Hound approached Kaila. He violently shook her as he turned her around, and placed two metal bracelets on both of her wrists. Turning her back around Kaila tried fighting his movements but he was too strong. She couldn't out do him. In her struggle he managed to move her hair away from her neck revealing the bared tattoo.
Using one hand to keep Kaila pinned to the wall, he used the other to grab a scanner from his belt. All the while Elias stood feet away watching in amusement. She heard a beep as he lifted the large object up to her neck.
"Kaila Micheals, D5-S5." He muttered behind his helmet. Her eyes widened hearing her own rating. Pulling her away from the wall he held the back of her shirt in a tight grip in front of Elias. He used his large hand to lift her face up to his sinister smile.
"Take our guest here back to her proper department. And tell my daughter to get to my office." Elias began to walk away before the Hound nervously cleared his throat.
"But-but sir?"
Stopping in his track the Hound spoke, "what about protocol? Every rogue goes through rebound."
"Yes, yes. See her to it then. Either way make sure she stays in her department. The auctions are coming up soon and I don't want her to miss it." He waved them to their business as he walked away slowly patrolling the rest of the department.
"Of course sir." Elias disappeared down another corner as Kaila's vision focused on the Hound staring down at her. Before she could even open her mouth to ask him about their business, he was quick to tighten his hold once again.
"Move." He was quick and to the point, not letting his voice linger around for longer than it needed to. He pushed Kaila's back with so much force that Kaila nearly fell to the floor.
She gathered her balance and took a moment to pause not wanting to be moved to wherever this Hound was taking her.
"Ah!" Kaila screamed loudly as she felt two jolts of electricity shoot up her arms before dispersing throughout the rest of her body. She nearly collapsed if it wasn't for the Hound holding onto her shirt. He lifted her upright and once again in a monotone voice, "move."
This time not hesitating Kaila began walking forwards allowing the Hound behind her to guide her through the hallways. She noticed the different rooms and people as they passed by, each of them, both Hounds and patients, all looked to have pity for the small girl.
Kaila gulped scared of what was to come. The walk of shame continued for what felt like an eternity. It didn't help that just has they were leaving the department one of the patients who were being wheeled back to their room grabbed ahold of Kaila's wrist and pulled her down. Before the Hound pushing her or the one keeping a hold on Kaila could push her off she whispered into her ear, "good luck."
