As early as ever Kaila began to stir awake. Her small movement and noises were too soft for Lauren to notice. As she blinked her eyes a few times Kaila noticed the change in scenery. Lauren's room had black walls and barely any decorations anywhere. Besides the fairy lights dangling over her bed frame and a few picture frames, her room was empty. Just a large space filled with a bed, a small dresser, and a desk with nothing but dust on it.

Before Kaila had a chance to look closer at the room, she moved only slightly on the bed feeling just how horrible she felt. She couldn't remember the last time she had a proper bath. Turning her head to the side Kaila gasped quietly seeing Lauren's face looking straight at hers. The only thing concealing the small girl were Lauren's shut eyelids.

Breathing softly and gently easing her way off the bed Kaila looked down seeing she was in one of Lauren's sweaters. 'I haven't seen this in a long time.' She was rather shocked to see Lauren still had a sweater from a concert they had gone to together years ago.

Quietly digging through Lauren's dresser, Kaila picked out the best outfit she could find that would fit her small physique. Rushing into the bathroom she locked the door and ran the warm water. Stepping into it she breathed out a breathe of relief to have finally gotten some kind of peaceful moment in a situation like this. She longed the time she'd been able to be in the tub without any supervision.

Slouching back, she submerged her body underneath the warm water. Her back, arms, chest, legs, every part felt like all the tense muscles just vanished the longer she sat there. She felt like if she were to stand she'd fall, given that she felt like she was a pile of noodles. Pushing past the pleasure, Kaila managed to wash herself clean before draining the tub and drying off. She threw on Lauren's clothes which unlike her cheerful and bright choice of attire, Kaila had on a pair of black jeans accompanied by a plain white top. Simple but lacking her personal taste.

Wiping the steam off the mirror Kaila looked in seeing herself as someone she hadn't seen in a long time. Someone she used to be before Lain and Mallix had a say in things. Back when it was just her and Lauren fighting to make due for themselves. Memories of the past flooded into her mind, there were many laughs...many cries...many arguments.

Trying to move forwards, Kaila threw her hair up taking one last look at the final outcome. The mirror she was looking into began lying to her. She stood here as an eighteen year old, but all she could see was the reflection of her younger teen self. Jumping from one age to the next she watched as she grew under Lauren's influence.

Shaking her head, Kaila turned away opening the bathroom door as quietly as possible. Every time the door squeaked she peaked over to Lauren fearful that she'd wake from the ruckus. Finally getting the door closed behind her and Lauren still sound asleep in her bed Kaila internally celebrated. Something was finally going right.

With Lauren fast asleep, this was her one and only shot. She turned to the door twisting the doorknob. As it opened slowly she pumped her fists with excitement. She peered out into the hall slowly making sure the outside light of the hall wouldn't shine too far in and wake Lauren up.

Finally building up enough courage to do so, Kaila stuck one foot out the bedroom door before she heard a very loud shout. "Get back in here!" Her voice was half asleep still but the order commanded Kaila's body. She stepped back in against her will shutting the door behind her. "Come here," Lauren demanded. Kaila gulped anxiously taking the smallest of baby steps, "faster!" Lauren said shouting loud enough her voice ringed throughout Kaila's head.

After some time and serious effort, Kaila found herself standing in front of Lauren's sleeping body. "How dare you try to leave while I sleep, I have a long day ahead of me, and so do you...what's this you want to go shopping in my closet now, do you?" Lauren raised her eyebrow as best as she could still laying on the bed.

Kaila didn't respond, she felt butterflies in her stomach and Lauren was never one who took back talk lightly. She felt chills go down the back of her neck. She watched nervously as Lauren sat up in the bed, her messy look was unapparent. "Look I know you don't want to be here, but you need to stop with all these attempts to escape. It's not going to work, the more you cooperate the faster you'll be out here."

Almost as if a switch flicked on in Kaila's brain, she felt a sudden jolt of confidence run through her body. Lauren didn't understand that she didn't want to be here. She just wanted to leave now. She didn't want to leave when Lauren told her she could, she wanted to go now.

Standing up for herself Kaila proudly stood tall in front of Lauren, "you don't get to tell me when I get to leave, I want to go now and back to my family!" She nodded ending her case and turned around back to the door. Lauren sat there dumbfounded, she wasn't expecting that from Kaila.

Just as her hand was about to make contact with the knob Lauren shouted from behind louder and angrier than ever before, "turn around!"

The way her anger fumed through her words made all the confidence in Kaila's body seem to vanish. She didn't know why she suddenly felt like it was ok to talk back, she only made the situation worst for herself. She watched in agony as Lauren stood from the bed and walked over, the carpet beneath her feet singeing away. Towering over Kaila once again she blew up, "what'd you say to me?! I don't care if you don't want to be here anymore, your not leaving until I say so! And who do you think you are thinking you'll waltz right out of here in my clothes! You want to leave so bad, fine then, but your not wearing any of my things. So go ahead, make your choice." She crossed her arms waiting for a response.

The small girl beneath her hung her head down to the floor, she didn't want to meet Lauren in the eyes. "Hm," Lauren cleared her throat upon not hearing a response. Kaila nervously ran her hand up her arm as her breathing quickened.

"That what I thought," Lauren grabbed Kaila's hand from off her arm and led her deeper into her room. For a moment Lauren paused looking around her room for what to do next. She had read about punishments for littles during her research, but she contemplated whether or not to act on it. Remembering back to yesterday Lauren recalled how easy going Kaila was when she carried her into the house.

'Maybe dealing with her as a baby is the best option. I mean she won't be able to escape then, right? Cause she's already at three attempts and if mom and dad find out I nearly let her get away that many times, I'm dead.' Her eyes widened even thinking about letting her parents down. Not having any other idea in mind, Lauren pulled her chair from her desk and sat it in the corner of her room facing the wall.

She sat Kaila down in it, "don't move until I say so," she walked away after a long and surprised look from Kaila was sent her way. "I mean it don't move." She reiterated when Kaila looked like she was going to stand.

Lauren smiled happily to herself when Kaila turned around slouching in the chair pouting. 'That was easy...I wonder what would happen if I did more of this? If it means she'll be easier to watch then maybe I should, it beats having to worry constantly about when she's going to try and escape again.'
