"It's good to see you again little one." Lauren said her hand hovered only a few inches from Kaila's shaking body. Looking up she met eyes with the girl she'd learn to be the enemy seeing her grey eyes waiting for movement. But the poor girl below was still left in pure shock. She knew of the backstabbing deed Lauren committed against her, so to see her in person again felt like a slap across the face. After so many months of being away, she had mixed feelings over the sudden reunion.

"Kaila grab my hand." She commanded, kicking Kaila out of her head and back to the situation at hand. Her own internal battle was fought in her head. She wanted with all her heart to continue to see the soft hearted and caring individual in front of her, but she couldn't. Kaila knew of all the horrible acts she had done, instead of grabbing hold of the hand in front of her, she stood up on her own. Her legs shaking beneath her.

The affects of the procedure earlier becoming more apparent. The adrenaline that coated the pain was slowly disappearing, leaving Kaila with nothing but noodles to support what little body weight she has. Her knees were just able to hold her upright momentarily before the rush of pain surrounded Kaila's legs. She screamed internally not being able to fight past it anymore. Giving in to the pain, she began to fall back down to Earth. Almost as if done in drama queen fashion, Kaila was heading down fast.

She would have collided with the floor hard if it wasn't for a hand rushing down swiftly grabbing her wrists. She hovered for a second above the floor before being set down gently. "Thanks..." Kaila began as she sat down and grabbed her legs manually pulling them to her chest. They felt cold to the touch, almost as if they weren't even her own. The numbing sensation in them increasing at a scarily fast rate. Her eyes lit up in a panic, before the girl in front of her bent down putting her hand to her chin and lifting her head til they met eyes.

"I bet your legs don't feel too great now do they?" She grinned wickedly as she tapped her fingers against her numbed skin. Kaila shook her head about to ask a question before she started speaking again.

"Don't worry about them, it was doctors orders. That painful feeling of pins and needles you feel there was just a safety precaution. It was suppose to ensure you couldn't run away or you wouldn't try at least, but see how well that worked. I'll have to note down to use a larger dosage for the next guest. Now why don't you say something for a change, you've been silent since you abruptly ran into my office."

Kaila didn't even noticed she hadn't said anything. Not that she wanted to anyways. What was she suppose to say to the girl across from her. Opening her mouth she tried to get a sound out before realizing how soft her voice was. "Where am I?" She tenderly asked almost in a whisper.

"Easy, my office like I said." She laughed walking away from the small girl left on the floor to the other side of the room. Only now did Kaila look at interior of the room. There were two large bookshelves behind a large dark wooden desk with a black office chair on wheels behind it. Tons of papers were spewed out across the surface of the desk along with a light in the corner of it. Besides the desk sat a white rug with fur to accent the white paint running along the top of the room with velvet walls.

"Y-your office?" She shyly asked again, looking up from her place on the floor playing with her finger tips.

"Yup, I'm moving up in the world. I even have a name tag to prove it." She laughed grabbing a name plate from under her desk putting it on full display. "You know it's funny, I was almost surprised to find you here. I knew mom and dad were talking about wanting to get a chance to meet you but I wasn't expecting all this so soon. I hope you didn't mind my friend Luke, he's the one who brought you in. He can be a little too rough at times."

"W-why...am I here?" Kaila nervously asked afraid of finding the answer, but she needed to know what was going to happen to her.

"Classified information, I'm afraid I can't tell you that. Although for your friend here," she pulled a file from a cabinet behind her desk. Kaila couldn't see the contents from within it, but from her low view she could see in bold letters printed along the edge of the folder read 'Lain Colden.' Lauren fumbled through the pages a little before smiling and pulling out a sheet, "she's here for...too much."

'Lain! Mommy's here! I forgot! I need to go find her!' Her eyes lit with slight excitement. She tried climbing back up to her feet but was quickly reminded why she was floor bound. Her legs were still too heavy to even function properly. Growing more irritated by the moment she pounded her tiny fists into the floor nearly forgetting Lauren was sitting only a few feet away. She quickly hid her face behind her curtain of hair. However, that only lasted a few moments as she threw her head upright staring wide eyed at Lauren.

"What did you call me?" She loudly asked only now catching on to something she overlooked long ago.

"Um...Kaila?" Lauren confusedly looked up from her documents to answer.

"No, before that. After I came in..." she sat looking towards Lauren as if she were about to tell her the greatest story of all time.

It wasn't much longer for Lauren to make a face of understanding which was soon consumed by a devilish face. "You mean little one." She sassily remarked. "It was my job after all to look into Lain and Mallix's lives with you, needless to say it didn't take long before I found out." She got up from her seat leaning halfway across the desk, "don't worry I won't tell." She winked sitting back in her seat, "...for now."

Sweat was threatening to fall from how hot and red Kaila's face had become. The last words still lingering in her head, 'for now...why didn't she tell anyone about this already? What good was it for her to keep my secret? Was she going to use this to blackmail me? What if she was going to use this against mommy?! Or what if-' Kaila was brought out of her head by a tapping on her shoulder.

Lauren had made her way back around her desk taking a seat directly in front of Kaila. Her tall physique held itself with composure like never before. This was a whole new Lauren, Kaila had never met before.
